Listener comments!

  9:05pm
dave:

i honestly could've happily listened to that glitching four tet CD pretty much all night.
  9:05pm
joe mulligan:

ironically, the song was called "Locked"
  9:05pm
12539:

I was enjoying that, but now I'm enjoying this.
  9:06pm
dave:

... but also, what 12539 said.
  9:06pm
sweet cheri:

greetings and happy holidays dave!!
Avatar 9:06pm
Dave M.:

True, it was called "Locked." Funny, huh?
  9:06pm
joe mulligan:

so I'm mixing the four tet song from spotify with the robert hampson and it's working
Avatar 9:06pm
Dave M.:

Anyway...good evening, folks.
  9:09pm
sweet cheri:

Avatar 9:11pm
Dave M.:

I like the "Charlie Brown Xmas" music.
  9:12pm
BDR:

Looking forward to the bed music as always! Clickity clack!

Proving I'm not a bot makes me type 666. No, really. Well played.
  9:14pm
Dervish:

Dave, is that Nancy Sinatra in the photo? Boy has she let herself go.
  9:16pm
Holly T:

My cat's snoring goes very well with this piece.
  9:16pm
G:

Some people are really fierce about their Xmas music. I was reading that when they remastered the Vince Guaraldi Peanuts Xmas album a few years back they used complete takes from the original sessions, but the original TV soundtrack had trimmed things out to save time and had spliced together parts of tunes from two different non-identical studio takes. Some listeners who wanted it exactly the same as they'd memorized it went nuts. Now they are bringing out a "restored" remastered CD that sticks to the exact original editing...

@BDR: Those clicks are my trademark!
@Dervish: Nope. Her beard's not that long
Avatar 9:17pm
Dave M.:

@Holly: You should bring him down here sometime.
  9:20pm
Richard from Venezuela:

Good evening Dave and all the listeners.
Avatar 9:21pm
Dave M.:

Hey, Richard.
  9:30pm
dave:

honest and for truly: i guessed the picture was moondog, but dismissed my guess out of hand due to the absence of a viking helmet.
Avatar 9:31pm
Dave M.:

@dave: Ah, a fatal mistake.
  9:32pm
Holly T:

That's funny. I immediately said "Moondog" when I saw it, but then I did a google image search to see if my guess was correct, and it was. Yay me!
Avatar 9:36pm
Dave M.:

@Holly: Well done.
  9:41pm
tr;sh:

My eyes coincidentally ran over moondog in the 'odd time signatures in popular music' post as you
mentioned the winning answer, Dave.

My first click onto your tumblr feed, there. Great photos and etc.
  9:43pm
cubicle carl:

There is a woman whispering in my left ear in French. Oh my.
Avatar 9:44pm
Dave M.:

@tr;sh: Ha. Thanks!
Avatar 9:44pm
Dave M.:

@cc: She was whispering just for you.
  9:46pm

Avatar 9:47pm
Dave M.:

@cc: You'll have to pay in March when we have our annual fundraising drive.
Avatar 9:50pm
Dave M.:

Was that Patti LaBelle?
  9:50pm
cubicle carl:

Yes, indeed. WFMU is my mistress, and she's on retainer.
  10:17pm
Dervish:

I still think it's Nancy Sinatra.
Avatar 10:29pm
Dave M.:

@Dervish: You may be right. I haven't seen any recent pictures of Nancy.
  10:40pm
dave:

ERD:

Love the Reijseger & Purves. Hadn't heard it---wasn't Purves with Reijseger on Colla Voche too?
  11:41pm
Paulo:

Tom Johnson and John Cale within ten minutes of each other. Only on WFMU. Great stuff Dave.
Avatar 11:43pm
Dave M.:

@Paulo: Why, thanks.
  11:47pm
Paulo:

About that Cale song in particular, for years I thought the lyric was "it's the wine in my feet that's to blame" meaning he was drunk and lost. I only recently realized the word he says is "line" which makes sense with the fishing line he mentions earlier in the verse, I guess. I felt the need to share that for some reason.
  11:56pm
12539:

Thanks, Dave M.
