Hello from Cleveland!
Avatar 12:06am
Therese:

Hello Cleveland!
  12:06am
BadGuyZero:

*hee!*
  12:12am
amEdeo:

Hello to Cleveland! Wait, what are you doing IN Cleveland?
  12:15am
BadGuyZero:

Hi ameDeo! It's my annual trip to Cleveland for a Browns game in December or January [I like watching 'em play football in the worst weather imaginable]. I also went to a production of "The Santaland Diaries." And just a few hours ago I saw Olivia Newton-John perform ninety minutes of hits!
  12:17am
BadGuyZero:

Today I saw graffiti on a bridge that read "Don't worry Ma, I'm only painting."
  12:22am
KP:

Hey BGZ, amEdeo, Therese!
  12:23am
amEdeo:

Oho! Sedaris, Olivia Netwon-John, and Football. That is one pack jammed trip.

Howdy hello there KP!
  12:23am
KP:

Excellent!
  12:24am
BadGuyZero:

@amEdeo: Indeed!

Hey KP!
  12:25am
Joe:

Love that Dan Deacon. This show really helps my Sunday night late shift. Thanks!
  12:25am
BadGuyZero:

He wasn't in Carcass. But he was in Napalm Death. And Godflesh as you mentioned. Presently he's in Jesu.
  12:27am
BadGuyZero:

The front cover of "Love This Giant" creeps me out a little.
  12:27am
KP:

Night shift. i know the feeling. This is a night off. i thought i was in early but Therese calls!
  12:29am
Ike:

Hello!

I don't listen to a ton of heavy stuff, but Broadrick, as Jesu, has put out some really good records.
  12:35am
KP:

So ... BadGuyZero do you only like Oliva Newton-John because she also has three names?
  12:37am
BadGuyZero:

@Ike: Broadrick was an on-and-off-again member of Scorn. Check them out. Some of their material was really heavy and some was very atmospheric. Their first album - "Vae Solis" - started off heavy and gradually ventured into more ambient territories.
  12:39am
BadGuyZero:

@KP: Umm...no. *HA!* I was born in 1970 so ON-J was a recurring character in the soundtrack of my life up until my teenage years.
  12:44am
KP:

And did she bring back those wonder years?
  12:45am
BadGuyZero:

"I Want To Hold Your Hand" by Moving Sidewalks next???
  12:46am
KP:

Is this the same as the Fleetwood Mac tribute?
  12:46am
BULLDOZ'r:

Wife said its been years since hearing that blues sound. Good choice.
  12:46am
BadGuyZero:

@KP: I had a lot of fun. I felt like Nelson Muntz at an Andy Williams show.
  12:47am
KP:

Hey this last week i saw the Monkees twice and the Who. that was my childhood.
  12:48am
Dave in PA:

what a dynomite segue!
Avatar 12:49am
Therese:

Thank you! I was not sure how/if that was going to work.
  12:50am
KP:

Had to look up Nelson Muntz, but i got ya.
  12:51am
BULLDOZ'r:

Rainy Day = mind blown. Dem chords...
  1:11am
KP:

Hey Therese, i finally made it to Iris Records. They had Scott Walker on vinyl but not this one. I kind of wanted this one, if only for the title.
Avatar 1:17am
Therese:

Any good scores at Iris, KP?
  1:22am
KP:

Shuggy Otis "Freedom Flight" on new vinyl. i was thrilled. Now i have my own background music.
Avatar 1:24am
Therese:

Ha! It's helpful, isn't it?
  1:27am
KP:

I think most DJs here use Strawberry Letter. Is the term "floor music"? you'd think i'd know by now.
  1:47am
Scuttle:

Love those noisy aussies
  1:48am
BadGuyZero:

What's the over/under on how long the transition from your show to amEdeo's will be? :P

That was pretty epic last week!
  1:49am
BadGuyZero:

Isn't "We Clean Up Our Own Messes" the b-side of Bruce Springsteen's "We Take Care Of Our Own"???
  1:49am
KP:

That was the best late night ride to rescue my iphone i ever had.
Avatar 1:49am
Therese:

"Bed Music," KP.
  1:50am
KP:

Also realized i was glad i stopped watching X-Files when i did.
Avatar 1:50am
Therese:

That's the sub-title, BGZ!
  1:50am
amEdeo:

Therese & amEdeo ADHD masterclasses cannot be predicted, they simply must be experienced. Much like the film Johnny Mnemonic.
  1:51am
KP:

Bed music. Thanks! I have my own Bed Music!
  1:53am
BadGuyZero:

Bed music sounds best coming out of a pillow speaker.
  1:54am
amEdeo:

Glad we could provide good company. Our full 70-hour dissertation will be available next spring on DAT tape.
  1:56am
KP:

it sounded so good driving around in rain listening to that i might warm up the aptly named Xbox at 2:55.
  1:56am
BadGuyZero:

You should have this label release it on multiple obscure audio formats: http://aurisapothecary.org/RELEASES.html
  1:57am
BadGuyZero:

Math answer was 668!

Neighbor of the beast!
  1:58am
KP:

This guys were so great at Maxwells. Only time i was there and we ran into a WFMU DJ who does theme based shows.
  1:59am
BadGuyZero:

Meghan?
  2:00am
KP:

Was that the name? She and Mrs. King Penguin talked Game of Thrones for rest of night.
Avatar 2:01am
Therese:

Meghan!
Avatar 2:01am
Therese:

That sounds like Meghan!
  2:02am
BadGuyZero:

@KP: Meghan's show is called Underwater Theme Park. I got to select last week's theme!
  2:02am
KP:

Si. Mrs. KP loves the show.
  2:03am
BadGuyZero:

Remember when The Everymen were on Therese's show a couple of months ago? http://www.wfmu.org/playlists/shows/47601
  2:03am
KP:

THAT WAS YOU! I heard the Dallas part, i thought it was Van. I won last year. See you in 2013, my friend.
  2:04am
KP:

My theme last year was drugs.
  2:06am
KP:

Meghan mentioned me by (alter ego) name on "your" show.
  2:06am
BadGuyZero:

Skating rink organ on this Human League track.
  2:08am
BadGuyZero:

I feel bad. I missed the show live. Packing for this trip turned into an ordeal and I had to choose between getting some sleep while her show was on or staying up all night. Obviously I made the wrong choice.
  2:11am
KP:

Great theme. I requested a Monkees song by Nesmith but she played a Nesmith song. Was there any particular song you asked for? Did she even play Dallas by Jimmie Dale?
  2:11am
BadGuyZero:

The seeds of !!!
  2:15am
KP:

it seems the Feelies sort of revel in being Velvet Underground Jr.
  2:16am
BadGuyZero:

Set everything on mono!
  2:17am
KP:

Back to mono!
  2:17am
amEdeo:

I WOULD DANCE ON YOUR RECORDS!
I WOULD LAUGH AT THE CDS!
AND I WOULD EAT THE CHANNEL BOARD.
I may be attempting to simulate the effects of caffeine to wake up.
  2:21am
BadGuyZero:

@KP: I specifically requested "The Best Ever Death Metal Band in Denton" by The Mountain Goats because I was born in Denton. I also placed a ban on any tracks by Steely Dan or The Doors. I think she played somebody else's version of "Dallas." She played the "Deep In the Heart of Texas" and the "Aren't we gonna see the basement?" moments from "Pee Wee's Big Adventure."
  2:22am
BadGuyZero:

@amEdeo: I'm all hopped-up on Pop Secret and hot cocoa!
  2:25am
amEdeo:

You and your damn popcorn! I actually wound up buying a bag of *gah* PRE-popped popcorn after my show the other week when everyone was TAUNTING ME with their popcorn.
  2:29am
first time listener, long time baller:

excellent episode. my first chance to listen to this silver apples track since aliens abducted (AND SCRATCHED) that CD-R
Avatar 2:35am
Therese:

Aliens! This is why we can't have nice things.
  2:37am
KP:

Yes, the PeeWee started the show. I get home from work very late. Sometimes i catch the first hour, sometimes more. Show is very good for archives.
  2:38am
KP:

Therese's show is very good for archives!

The Alamo doesn't have a basement, KP!
  2:42am
BadGuyZero:

I posted this Spongebob clip on the UTP Facebook page kinda hoping she would include it somewhere. She didn't.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvkjewgF8GQ
  2:43am
KP:

What! How can we see the basement deep in the heart of texas then?
  2:44am
KP:

Oooh. I could see her NOT playing that.
  2:45am
KP:

Ive only been to Austin. They say that is not Texas.
  2:47am
BadGuyZero:

@KP: Austin has a very different mindset from the rest of the state. When those "secede from the union" petitions were in the news a few weeks back some people in Austin started a petition to have Austin secede from Texas.
  2:55am
KP:

Bed music!
  2:58am
BadGuyZero:

I concur with everything that Therese just said regarding the Star Wars prequels.
  3:01am
KP:

The last part of last one was kind of cool.
  3:03am
BadGuyZero:

I have never seen the last one.
  3:04am
KP:

Bye therese?
