Ernest (NL):

good afternoon!
  6:24am
Looms:

Hello from France.
  6:25am
slugluv1313:

YAY HUNGARY!!!!!! where my family is from too :)
  6:26am
Ernest (NL):

Nether means down or low in Dutch => Netherlands becomes Lowlands.
  6:46am
Christopher UK:

Great show. I'm really grateful for your efforts on the playlist, but come on "Riach Ach Chark"!
Avatar 6:48am
DJelbogen:

Christopher - I was only one (unnecessary) letter off!
  6:58am
kat330:

Hi, Jason and all!
Had to comment: love the keyboards on this, but wonder if the singer could hear the key of the instruments properly. :)
  7:06am
Madi:

You did the right thing.
Avatar 7:21am
DJelbogen:

Madi--I feel a little 'unclean' for playing (even two minutes) of bland Afropop that I'm making it up to myself (and some of you) with this noisy 19 minute Cherry/Penderercki track.
Avatar 7:22am
DJelbogen:

(which I think is really good, in fact) [the Cherry/Penderecki song, that is, not that I feel the need to 'make up' for my mistake]
  7:37am
Madi:

It wasn't that bad but was ruining the integrity of the set.
  8:04am
hamburger:

hey yo - eyes very heavy this morning, partly due to adjusting body clock and partly due to 4am loud people - never really yelled at someone for being loud when it's late before, but the adrenolin rush meant I couldn't sleep for another hour
  8:04am
Bruce:

Female is Françoise (franswahzeu)
Male is François (franswah)
  8:06am
kat330:

Maybe Mahara is of the Bahá'í faith?
  8:08am
kat330:

From the 'pedia: "its religious history is seen to have unfolded through a series of divine messengers, each of whom established a religion that was suited to the needs of the time and the capacity of the people. These messengers have included Moses, Buddha, Jesus, Muhammad, and others.
  8:21am
kat330:

No, no, no!! Bahá'í from the Wikipedia, not Hare Krishna.
  8:25am
BSI:

hah! I know that Krsna place in Tucson well... Govinda's... lived out there for a spell...
Avatar 8:27am
DJelbogen:

BSI--Yes, 'Govinda'!!! Totally mediocre, no?
  8:28am
Madi:

I like the idea of international soundtracks, that way you could mix in some old favorites.
  8:30am
BSI:

I was there in the '90s. "Indian food day" was thursdays I think... and yep, very mild stuff. I preferred Ghandi further south for a decent veg. vindaloo..
  8:33am
kat330:

IOW, Jason, I have no idea what Mahara's faith is. Just offering a speculation about it and showing how one particular faith blends a lot of ingredients into the mix.
  8:34am
Ernest (NL):

Jason: did you know Elbogen means elbows in Dutch? just so you know...
  8:52am
kat330:

Gee, this sure takes me back to my milk-drinking childhood. :)
  8:56am
kat330:

The track to best describe my morning here today is "Please Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood"! :) Not vegan, just don't like milk. Actually didn't care for it in childhood either, but was made to drink it.

Thanks, Jason, and Happy New Year to all!
  8:58am
Madi:

Bye for now Mr. Elbow
