1979 would have been cooler if "On My Radio" had been mixed like this in the first place. And 1979 was pretty cool to begin with.

  4:36pm still b/p:

That picture had a director...?
  4:37pm Carmichael:

Hey, I have this Pye Anthology. It's very cool.
  4:38pm Cecile:

I hear the director's cut is actually pretty mind-bending.
All I know is that it actually played for 3 weeks in our town when I was a kid, but I don't think anyone actually admitted seeing it.
  4:39pm Cecile:

3 weeks! I don't think it played 3 weeks anywhere else in the world...
  4:40pm Cecile:

we only had 2 theaters, and it was a huge deal to have a movie held over for a second week. that ended when Jaws came out. It was there for 2 months.
  4:40pm Flauri:

Ooohh! finnish music! i was wondering if i changed channel :)
  4:43pm Cecile:

this is great. I didn't know he had put out something this late in his career.
  4:45pm Cheri Pi:

Cecile, Ken sent me a pastie! thank you for thinking of me.
Avatar 4:46pm DJKG:

yeah, cecile - i was recently willed a handful of '90s sjh records. a friend was getting married and had to thin the collection. inconsistent but fun stuff on all of them.
  4:46pm Cecile:

oh, how nice, Cheri!
Avatar 4:49pm Philo Gristle:

Damn, missed Screamin' Jay.
  4:49pm Cheri Pi:

Oh, and I forgot to mention, those idiot reporters we love to hate have struck again giving the UP a bad name, this time by exploiting Trenary Toast. Not sure when the story comes in...http://www.splendidtable.org/episode/499
  4:50pm steve:

coffee and donuts would have been nice
  4:52pm ERD:

Schlammpeitziger is one of the best names to say. Ever.

I wish the world were set up in a way that I could be a donut speculator. I would corner the market.
  4:54pm Cheri Pi:

I don't want to live in a world where toast isn't safe from The Sterns. have a great weekend all!
  4:55pm Cecile:

I found it. I heard the words "dog biscuit." :(
  4:57pm Cheri Pi:

I'm going to think of a revenge plot this weekend...the Sterns won't get away with this.
  4:57pm Cecile:

well, I can't disagree with what they've said so far...
  4:57pm Cheri Pi:

It's HOW they say it. Trenary toast isn't their business.
  4:58pm Cecile:

Trenary Toast is not that hard. It's not. It is crispy and then melts in your mouth.
  4:59pm Cecile:

That's right, Cheri. Go back to the East Coast and your stupid clams. (Disclaimer: I love clams.)
  4:59pm Cheri Pi:

They're lying to make the toast sound more interesting than it is. hahaha. I have to go, we'll discuss at length later.
  4:59pm Cecile:

we don't care if people more up there - IF THEY ARE BRINGING JOBS WITH THEM.
  5:00pm Carmichael:

Germans with jobs??
  5:00pm Cecile:

it is great dunked in milk. So good.
  5:00pm JTE josephteilhard@gmail.com:

I could send you a blood orange donut from The Bakery in Ft Green on dry ice?
  5:01pm Cecile:

oh man, that sounds amazing.
Better than damn Trenary Toast.

Which you can order online.
  5:02pm Stanley:

Hi Kurt. Not normally tuning in on a Friday but free to do so today. Just wanted to say I thoroughly enjoyed the show. The wife should go out more often...... Bye for now.
  5:02pm frenchee:

Avatar 5:47pm DJKG:

welcome annie. we're just here trying to be as still as churchmice.
  5:51pm fred:

This is nice too. I can even turn it louder, they won't ever think it's music. I know what they listen to, they're playing it loud enough
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:51pm annie:

  5:58pm fred:
