hi all. great 2nd song (i missed the first). question, has JOE played any LAMPS songs? i think EFDavies has. and i liked. so i bought the latest cd of theirs, on IN THE RED label. and, well, it's not quite what i expected. anyway, i expect to be wowed by today's show. thanks.

  12:47pm DN George:

Joe, this show is kicking ass, even without the Stratta Bowling theme!
  12:48pm Mike East:

I was just telling my uncle he should go see Chuck Prophet. He's playing a venue in CLE coming up.
Avatar 12:48pm Joe B:

hey George! yeah, stratta theme may be down for the count if i cant find the backup
  12:48pm whattawino:

Yay for Chuck Prophet! You and temple both beautiful, Joe. Thanks!
  12:48pm Mike East:

...and that recommendation was based solely on hearing him on this show, I believe.
Avatar 12:49pm Joe B:

Avatar 12:50pm Joe B:

Triple Hex live set coming up at 1 pm!
Avatar 12:54pm Joe B:

@Mike East, yes, Nov. 11, 2010. I just came back on the schedule so many people probably missed it. he covered bangkok by Alex Chilton and some other cool stuff!
Avatar 12:57pm Joe B:

hey Mike Sin! sorry I missed you Sunday, I showed up at 1:30.
  12:58pm Mike East:

righteous!
  1:15pm Parq:

I may have mentioned this before, but I just love bands with female drummers.
  1:17pm KP:

Well this is pretty fantastic.
  1:17pm amEdeo:

Joe B! Grooving good times!
Avatar 1:19pm Joe B:

hey Parq! Hi KP, i agree! hey amEdeo! yes!
  1:24pm Mike East:

@Parq - I used to be in one of those. We were awesome. You'd have dug us.
  1:42pm Parq:

Speaking bands that were awesome, those of you not in this area missed a *fire-breathing* set from the Relatives last Sunday. The current backing band sounds even better than the musicians on these sessions.
  1:46pm tahomajohn:

Great show Joe, as usual. I was in Switzerland last year.. heard these guys...Les Chevaux Sauvages... the were great! http://www.myspace.com/thechevals
  1:59pm herb:

hmm, i think JAMES CARR had a show scheduled at st. ann's church, bklyn (orig. montague st location) but had to cancel. i was upset, but then PENN & OLDHAM were fill-ins. (as for LAMPS, i think it was a different JOE BELOCK who played them, on WLPJ or something. sorry.)
  2:05pm KP:

Joe B, it was great to see you at the Record Fair/Concert!
Avatar 2:12pm Joe B:

thanks tahomajohn! herb, thanks for heads up on lamps. they have gotten a ton of play here judging by the playlist search page! same here KP!
  2:33pm Mike East:

that's some springy reverb.
  2:38pm KevinfromBayRidge:

Hi Joe & fellow Belockers!

  2:40pm efd:

Hey Joe! Good seeing you Sunday! Is that Hot Lunch full-length a CD or LP? I didn't see it when I was looking through the new bin last week.
  2:42pm Prague Patrick:

  2:48pm Dan Eletxro:
