apparently cheese theft is booming, what with it being so expensive and all.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:35am Artie:

...and so darned delicious. Will Wendy join us today?
Avatar 11:37am glenn:

i haven't seen wendy on the board in ages.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:43am Charlie:

hi glenn, Artie, Katya!
Didn't know people stole so much cheese. I do know people have been known to stuff big cuts of meat into their coats.
Thanks for the links, Katya, will try to check!
Avatar 11:50am Michael:

Hi charlie, katya, glenn and artie. Everyone in the Northeast ready for snowpacalypse tomorrow and Saturday?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:51am Charlie:

Hi Michael,
Yes I am ready to dig dig dig! Will probably have the day off from woik.
Avatar 11:53am Michael:

May have off tomorrow too or they'd send us home early. "non-essential personnel" that is. Don't wanna dig dig dig tho.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:54am S.A. from S.F.:

Hello Charlie and assorted rabble!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:54am listener james from westwood:

i'd steal cheese over gasoline and toilet paper if society collapsed.
hello to all essential message-board personnel and our fearless dj!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:55am Charlie:

Hi S.A.!
Well, you're "essential personnel" here, Michael.
Avatar 11:56am ndbob:

hey charlie and everyone!
Avatar 11:57am kat330:

Wow, a big crowd has assembled already!
Hi, Charlie, and all BDNers!
Avatar 11:58am glenn:

Avatar 11:58am Michael:

Aw, charlie ya big lug.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:58am Charlie:

Welcome, James, Bob, and kat330!
About to get rolling...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:59am S.A. from S.F.:

John Stewart had some fun with them, Glenn.
Avatar 12:00pm Katya Oddio:

Happy Thursday, gang!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:00pm listener james from westwood:

after this show i'll be buying cheese and chili fixin's for the weekend siege. only question is what protein to go with: lotsa beans, turkey, or beef. all have their virtues.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:00pm S.A. from S.F.:

Er, I meant "Jon".
Avatar 12:02pm glenn:

will it be snowmageddon or snowpocalypse?
Avatar 12:02pm kat330:

@S.A. from S.F.: Yep, I saw that episode, too. Tied them neatly in a knot of contradictions.
Avatar 12:03pm Carmichael:

Hiya Charlie and every body. Boy, Miriam is a real hep cat!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:03pm listener james from westwood:

@glenn: no, hadn't heard of this lot. will they be part of that compound glenn beck is planning to build, i wonder, or just an allied principality, contacted only via carrier pigeon?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:03pm S.A. from S.F.:

When I make chili, I always like to throw in a ham hock and a piece of baker's chocolate.
Avatar 12:04pm kat330:

Of course every ideology enacted will inevitably involve contradictions. C'est la vie.
Avatar 12:05pm thedunkel:

CHARLIE!
Avatar 12:05pm kat330:

@LJfW: Waitaminnit, now maybe it *was* Beck's compound Stewart skewered. Hm.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:05pm Charlie:

Hey there, Carmichael, and -- the dunkel!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:06pm S.A. from S.F.:

He did 'em BOTH, kat.
  12:06pm frenchee:

psychedelic aliens, hmmm, my favorite kind!(and delicious in chili)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:06pm listener james from westwood:

if these communities go full-tilt lord of the flies, stewart could title the story "compound fracture."
Avatar 12:07pm kat330:

I think it's a foregone conclusion there would be Lord of the Flies incidents should they ever get off the ground and running.
  12:08pm gary mitchell:

joyce - you're the most!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:08pm S.A. from S.F.:

Which musician would y'all like to prepare chili for you? My vote would be for Screamin' Jay Hawkins.
Avatar 12:08pm ndbob:

I'd say all of the above James
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:09pm Charlie:

Hi there, Frenchee! (So was that your record?)
Howdy there, Mr. Mitchell!
Avatar 12:10pm ndbob:

heya gary!
Avatar 12:10pm kat330:

It appears we are escaping the Snowmageddon here. Today, in fact, we'll near 60 degrees and it's beautifully sunny. Still I'm making later one of my fave winter meal: Curry chicken with apples, onions, and brown rice.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:10pm Brian in UK:

Arf arf, Charlie.
@James, I always felt for Piggy in LotFs.
Avatar 12:11pm ndbob:

@kat sounds great!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:11pm Brian in UK:

Chicken with sumac over here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:12pm S.A. from S.F.:

It's raining in California, and I'm having udon noodles in homemade beef broth, with pork loin and mushrooms.
Avatar 12:12pm kat330:

@Brian: Apparently a distant relative was in a Super Bowl ad (didn't see the game but saw the commercial fallout the next day).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:13pm listener james from westwood:

i was glad to have been past a certain age before reading lotfs. not that i haven't subsequently gotten a laugh over the simpsons spoof of the situation.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:13pm Brian in UK:

Is this a group of Sannayasas that have lost their way to the party?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:14pm Charlie:

Delicious, kat!
We've got chili in the freezer, and I made soup the other day -- root veggies, white beans, rosemary, and pasta.
Avatar 12:14pm kat330:

Hey, Bob! It really is delish. It's supposed to have raisins, too, but Philo doesn't like them, so I substitute dried apricot bits. Then it's garnished with lightly ground peanuts and scallions. Of course I add about twice the curry rec'd in the original recipe.
  12:14pm Tower:

Hello there Charlie, Gary, Bob and all the Psychedelic alien listeners, from whichever galaxy you come.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:14pm Brian in UK:

@kat you gotta pay your utility bills.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:14pm Charlie:

Hi Brian -- whozeewhatsees?
Hello Tower.
Avatar 12:15pm ndbob:

heya tower todd!
Avatar 12:15pm glenn:

chili musician? gotta go with neko case.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:15pm S.A. from S.F.:

So much delicious-sounding food...
Avatar 12:16pm kat330:

@Brian: Aw, you'd have to use the dirty word "utilities" wouldn't ya? I spent 40 mins. this morning tangling with AT&T over yet another landline service increase. It is now averaging $1.50 per call for our measured service given how little we use it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:16pm Brian in UK:

Better red than dead.
Avatar 12:16pm Carmichael:

Zeta Reticuli is where my space age pad is.
Avatar 12:16pm ndbob:

@kat I agree with Philo - not a raisin fan - and double curry is my kind of thing
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:17pm Charlie:

raisin d'etre
Avatar 12:18pm glenn:

what's with the raisin hate? y'all are just a bunch of raisists.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:18pm Brian in UK:

Well sorry kat, wash my mouth out with Beyonce's aftershave.
Avatar 12:18pm kat330:

@ndbob: Well, I mean they get super soft and moist after all the cooking, so I don't get it. If we have grapes on hand, I'll throw those in, and he's fine with it.
  12:19pm Tower:

@Carmichal Oooh, a nice southern neighborhood!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:19pm S.A. from S.F.:

Golden raisins have a lighter flavor.
Avatar 12:19pm ndbob:

@kat I remember my mom telling me that when I was two all I would consume were raisins and milk - lifetime burnout maybe
Avatar 12:20pm kat330:

Speak of the devil, Philo just showed up but has to run back. Sorry, Charlie! :)
  12:20pm frenchee:

Heya Chaz, I replied to you on FB. Alas, no, not my rekkid.
  12:20pm Tower:

...and binary too!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:21pm Charlie:

I thought you were kidding that you wanted it back, Frenchee ;)
Avatar 12:21pm kat330:

I want the executives of AT&T to live in one of those compounds.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:22pm listener james from westwood:

i like raisins in some contexts but not in others. cookies, or out of the box, yes; cinnamon buns, cakes, or bread pudding, no. i fully accept that that is weird.
Avatar 12:22pm kat330:

I was just able to scroll back and see all the enormously witty puns on raisins. :) Thanks!
Avatar 12:23pm ndbob:

the psychedelic aliens cd is great!
Avatar 12:24pm kat330:

I can handle his raisin evasion, but his disgust with mushrooms is nearly a kitchen killer for me. He's lucky I love him so dearly. ;)
Avatar 12:24pm glenn:

just tell them you're cancelling your service, kat. they'll give you a better price.
  12:25pm Doug S.:

Sitting here waiting at the dentist. Wish I could listen. Loud.
Avatar 12:25pm ndbob:

@kat It's a texture thing - I love the flavor of mushrooms, but not the texture
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:26pm S.A. from S.F.:

@ndbob - That's how I am about cauliflower.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:27pm Brian in UK:

Why is there marzipan?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:28pm S.A. from S.F.:

The same reason there are village idiots, Brian.
Avatar 12:28pm Michael:

Mushrooms and raisins can both be sent into space. There, I said it.
Avatar 12:30pm glenn:

the place i grew up was so small that the village idiot only worked part-time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:30pm Brian in UK:

Yeah S.A. I also put chocolate in chili.
Avatar 12:31pm kat330:

@glenn: [sorry, I was detained] Oh, yes, I've already played that card, clearly one too many times. When I do the autopay and the automaton says "let me look that up," it keeps on tinkling/beeping for many many seconds going through my "history." I must be used as a training tool for new CSRs.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:32pm S.A. from S.F.:

My apartment is so small the the village idiot is a hunchbacked mouse.
Avatar 12:32pm kat330:

@Michael: Awww, you and Philo should cook meals together, and I'll cook for the 'shroom crowd. :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:33pm Charlie:

Hi Doug, if you're still here. Yes, I wish you were listening too!
Avatar 12:33pm kat330:

Charlie, groovin' on these grooves.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:34pm S.A. from S.F.:

Yay -- kat is cooking for me!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:35pm listener james from westwood:

s.a., was this hunchbacked mouse found under a british car park?
Avatar 12:36pm kat330:

Oooh, and I love cauliflower, too. Really, it's only coconut, almonds and lamb (along with other musky/gamey meat that I'll never try) that are problems for me. Oh, and cilantro, though I've learned to abide it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:37pm S.A. from S.F.:

Indeed, james, with a scroll that read, "It's a fair cop."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38pm Brian in UK:

kat do you mean coriander?
Avatar 12:39pm glenn:

hmmm. kamikaze's playlist has got a game theme going on as well.
Avatar 12:39pm ndbob:

@kat agree about cilantro - i do like coriander tho
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40pm S.A. from S.F.:

Coriander is the seed form of cilantro.
Avatar 12:40pm glenn:

kat doesn't like coriander? please tell her she's officially dead to me.
Avatar 12:41pm glenn:

it's interchangeable. at least here it is.
Avatar 12:41pm kat330:

@Carmichael: My space timeshare is on Gliese 581g.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:42pm listener james from westwood:

"looking for a space" is a suitably titled tune to accompany this copyediting.
Avatar 12:42pm ndbob:

@S.A hmm there's no accounting for my taste then:)
Avatar 12:42pm kat330:

@glenn: I like and use coriander ground and seeds. I do not like the soapy flavor of fresh cilantro. First time I had authentic salsa out in L.A., I told the waiter someone had not properly rinsed out the serving bowl after washing it. ;)
Avatar 12:43pm ndbob:

@kat you have accounted for my taste then
Avatar 12:44pm glenn:

lotsa people think it tastes like soap. i personally don't get that. then again, i don't carry the "stinky asparagus pee" gene.
Avatar 12:45pm kat330:

This playlist is very useful info for when we've finished the FS compound, and I pull kitchen duty for all the gang.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45pm S.A. from S.F.:

There may be a genetic reason for some people tasting cilantro as "soapy", and others not -- just as there is a genetic reason for some people not being able to digest cow's milk.
  12:46pm Tower:

But kat, that doesn't exist, wink, wink. At least not officially.
Avatar 12:46pm ndbob:

@glenn I carry it
Avatar 12:47pm kat330:

Yep, verified that it is genetic. I didn't know about the asparagus pee stank being selective though. Philo and I share that, though it won't stop me from fixing asparagus.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:48pm S.A. from S.F.:

Oooh, me likes this track!
Avatar 12:48pm kat330:

@Tower: You're in charge of the tower design, right?
  12:49pm Doug S.:

Still here reading your show, Charlie. Looks like it sounds great. I love that Shangaan stuff.
Avatar 12:49pm ndbob:

Asparagus is my favorite veggie - by far
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:49pm Uncle Michael:

greetings, earthlings
Avatar 12:49pm kat330:

Mickey Baker was a native Louisvillian. Did not know that until local reports about his death.
Avatar 12:50pm glenn:

i love it too, and if you let it grow it is really a lovely fern.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:50pm S.A. from S.F.:

I got the asparagus thing too, but don't care what it smells like going out -- just going in.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:50pm Uncle Michael:

Charlie, the Isis was excellent. I only know their earlier stuff.
  12:51pm Tower:

@kat: I can neither confirm nor deny that rumor.
Avatar 12:54pm kat330:

Well, actually, Tower, you are not showing as a proper FS member. Ack, we have infiltrator in our midst!
  12:54pm frenchee:

LEN BARRY! My cousins sang backup with him on an oldies tour. Very interesting cat.
Avatar 12:56pm ndbob:

Len made some moderately obscure records that are really good, such as "Hearts are Trump"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:56pm jan:

Hi Charlie- just finished my registration in the WFMU club.
How long before I get the decoder ring?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:57pm Charlie:

Hi Uncle M!
Wow, Frenchee, you have some relatives who've really been around!
and Hi Jan!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:57pm S.A. from S.F.:

Herro, Uncre Michaer -- you continue to make my work nights brighter with musical memories.
Avatar 12:57pm Matt from Springfield:

Welcome to the Club, jan!
Hi Charlie and everyone!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:58pm Charlie:

Jan - no decoder ring, just lots of recipes :)
We should issue a Vocoder ring!
Avatar 12:58pm ndbob:

Heya Michael and Matt!
  12:59pm frenchee:

Yeah, the cousins also sang with Alex Chilton on the same tour. They were so cute, they said you'd love this guy, he's really cool, have you ever heard of him? Between gasps of laughter I secured a ticket to their next gig, at the NY State Fair.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:59pm Uncle Michael:

@S.A.S.F I'm all about the nostalgia. Love the Bob Bell/Larry Harmon portrait.
  12:59pm frenchee:

Decoder ring seems more like a Michael Shelley thing. OMG you're playing SLY...rainbow alien swoon time!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:00pm Uncle Michael:

Anyone else happen to listen to Evan "Funk" Davies last night?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:01pm Charlie:

Wish I had, Uncle, what'd I miss?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:02pm S.A. from S.F.:

Bought a pile of these Bozo stickers at Archie McPhee, about 20 years ago -- this one's on my work locker.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:06pm S.A. from S.F.:

Imagine the effect you could have on the WFMU playlists if you were willing to record a lot of strange tapes and donate them to thrift stores with no identifying information.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:07pm Uncle Michael:

Uh oh...my secret is out.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:08pm Charlie:

Yello, Perri and Matt!
Avatar 1:09pm Matt from Springfield:

I'm yello? OH NO, I am!!!
Wait, that's normal in this world. Phew.
Avatar 1:10pm Matt from Springfield:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:15pm Charlie:

Matt, I'm a huge fan of Phantogram.
UM -- too bad about Mr. Byrd.
  1:15pm Perri:

Ohhhh, I like that Mystery Tapes idea, S.A.!
Avatar 1:16pm Carmichael:

Mary Wells and Smokey Robinson are the same person. It's a fact!
Avatar 1:16pm kat330:

This takes me back to teen transistor times.
Avatar 1:16pm Matt from Springfield:

@SA SF: I'm sure that will be acceptable :)
Great one from Mary Wells--you can tell this was written by Smokey, Mary Wells was almost a female translation of his voice and inflections.
Avatar 1:16pm Matt from Springfield:

@Charlie: And now, I may be as well! Thanks!
Avatar 1:17pm Katya Oddio:

Perri! Yay! Carmichael -- I'll never hear them the same way again

AWww... I wish I had a kid to give the middle name "Toussaint L'Ouverture"!
Avatar 1:18pm glenn:

huh. when i was in windsor visiting my g.f.'s folks last year i was perusing the obituaries in the detroit free press. 99% of them referred to somebody passing, instead of dying. i don't get it.
Avatar 1:19pm kat330:

@Katya: Last week, aamof, I first saw Perri's comments. It wasn't confirmed when I asked, but red hair is what you mean, yes?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:20pm Uncle Michael:

@glenn You will.

The groove of this song was sampled by P.M. Dawn on "To Serenade a Rainbow" to great effect.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:26pm Uncle Michael:

@Michael I haven't had a chance to see it yet. (Damn you, Netflix).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:26pm Charlie:

Holy cow -- Searching for Sugarman was amazing, Michael! Great movie -- higly recommended by me too! Drove all the way down to Amherst to see it. Worth the trip.
Avatar 1:27pm glenn:

when i die, i want to be thrown on the compost heap, and left to rot and fertilize the ground.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:28pm Uncle Michael:

I haven't had a chance to see Paul Williams: Still Alive yet either.
Avatar 1:28pm kat330:

We are on a short list to get Sugarman from the library, so should see it in the coming month or so. Yes, I hear only great things about it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:28pm Uncle Michael:

And I want to see that damned Ginger Baker doc too...it's hell living in a backwater.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:29pm S.A. from S.F.:

I want to be cremated and made into a box of pencils -- a service that is actually offered -- and left next to the telephone with a notepad. But my sweetie won't hear of it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:29pm Charlie:

I still haven't seen "Radio Unmentionable" -- really wanna see it!
Avatar 1:30pm glenn:

then again, i could will my body to science so's they could do research on non stinky asparagus pee genes.
Avatar 1:31pm Michael:

Yes charlie and Michael - what a story. What a guy! I assume he's touring - a coworker is going to see him at the Somerville Theater in April I think.

Look forward to those two films as well.
Avatar 1:31pm Carmichael:

You can't play a bad song when you use a wha wha pedal.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:32pm Uncle Michael:

@Carmichael It even saved Black Lassie.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:32pm Uncle Michael:

The Big Star doc should be good. The Replacements one is awful.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:33pm listener james from westwood:

exposure to the elements or unembalmed burial would be my two choices. for the latter, iirc there's a cemetery in south jersey that specializes in these. there are also wicker coffins one can use, so you won't be walling off a segment of the earth with a subterranean concrete tomb.
next option would be cremation and scattering on some ice to prevent slippage.
Avatar 1:33pm kat330:

@Katya & Perri: Don't know about you gals, but I keep my hair long because then it's easier for me to maintain on my own, along with giving me variety of roping around and pinning up, etc. Haven't been to a hair salon pro since I was 16, and imagine I never will at this point.
Avatar 1:34pm Matt from Springfield:

@glenn: But vegetables aren't good UNLESS they stink your pee! You want to change that??
Avatar 1:34pm ndbob:

The compost heap is fine for me
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:35pm Uncle Michael:

I'm gonna be fine with whatever happens to my corpse.
Avatar 1:35pm ndbob:

or an asparagus field:)
Avatar 1:36pm kat330:

@LJfW: Best to my mind would be to combine yours and Glenn's: cremated and then put the ashes in a compost heap or some other fertilizing opportunity.
Avatar 1:36pm Matt from Springfield:

@UM: I heard the Replacements one is remarkably awful--for being a doco on a rock group, that manages to feature no archival performances or interviews of said group. Is that the truth?
Avatar 1:36pm kat330:

Aw, Bob beat me to it. :)
Avatar 1:36pm Carmichael:

When I was a kid, Tim Schmit rented a house across the street. His band would blast the neighborhood from the garage. At about 10, I thought he was a God.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:36pm S.A. from S.F.:

Unavailable movies and TV series on my Netflix list: The Patty Duke Show: Season 1; Brother Theodore; Dodsworth; Fat City; Ian Dury & the Blockheads: Hold on; Oil City Confidential. It don't help none to live in a big city.
Avatar 1:37pm kat330:

@Matt: I didn't care for the one on the Pixies. Didn't know about the 'mats doc.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:37pm Uncle Michael:

I was looking for Oil City Confidential just yesterday
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:38pm Charlie:

Matt -- heard the same re the 'mats doc.
Carmichael -- when did the scales fall from your eyes? ;)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:38pm Uncle Michael:

The 'Mats is wall to wall talking heads and most of them are irrelevant, insufferable or both.
Avatar 1:38pm kat330:

"Anvil," otoh, was a greatly entertaining documentary.
Avatar 1:40pm glenn:

oh man, anvil is so bad/great.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:40pm S.A. from S.F.:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:41pm Uncle Michael:

I hear Julian Temples' Ray Davies doc is brilliant.

Godfrey Cambridge was great in The President's Analyst.

Avatar 1:45pm Matt from Springfield:

I suppose this "Zulu" movie was a big inspiration for Monty Python's Meaning of Life segment III, in the 1879 Zulu war!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:45pm listener james from westwood:

biggest laughs i've had all day w/ that cut. nice one.
Avatar 1:46pm Carmichael:

Interesting Wiki factoid re: Tim Schmit: "Schmit also toured with Jimmy Buffett, in 1983, 1984, and 1985 as a member of the Coral Reefer Band. Schmit was the one who coined the term "Parrotheads" to describe Buffett's fans".
Avatar 1:47pm Mary Wing:

We were just talking about The President's Analyst on Friday; thanks for reminding me to get that DVD from the library, Carmichael!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:47pm Uncle Michael:

I wonder if he was the guy that advised Jimmy to focus on beer and burgers.
  1:47pm Mike Yahwak:

Theater in the SKY have not heard this is a while
Avatar 1:48pm kat330:

I understand Whoopi Goldberg's doing a Moms Mabley documentary. She was always a hoot on Carson and various shows of the late '60s.
  1:49pm Tower:

Have Jeff Beck's album Truth in my CD player in my car at this very moment.
  1:49pm Mike Yahwak:

Hope you folks can get to the Station Tomorrow.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:49pm Uncle Michael:

I actually sat behind Jimmy and his band at the Wheeler Opera House in Aspen, CO, the first time they saw (themselves in) the film Rancho DeLuxe. They were high as all get-out and whooping it up. This seemed exceedingly cool to 13-year-old me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:50pm Charlie:

Hey there, Mary! And Mike Yahwak, whoever you are!
Avatar 1:50pm glenn:

i'd like to thank jeff beck for introducing me to imelda may.

  1:52pm Mike Yahwak:

Avatar 1:53pm glenn:

uncle mike. www.youtube.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:53pm Uncle Michael:

Anyone heard the new Thompson album?
Avatar 1:53pm Carmichael:

@Mary: I see that movie once every few months, as it seems to make the DirecTV rounds frequently. Check out Barry McGuire singing the cool hippie songs in the field while the spies are killing each other.
Avatar 1:53pm kat330:

Just heard The Boxer on local NPR this a.m. A Simonized day.
Avatar 1:53pm Green Mountain Man Mark:

Avatar 1:55pm kat330:

@UM: Nope, but some early reports (Irene T., for e.g.) is that it's weak. However, his dulcet tones were sweeter than usual on the track she played Monday.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:55pm Charlie:

Yes, it could be an interesting day over at the 'FMU mothership if the snows are deep if you get my drift.
Avatar 1:55pm Carmichael:

@Glenn: are you referring to the How High the Moon performance at the Grammies a few years ago? His guitar playing is astonishing on that!
Avatar 1:55pm kat330:

"Salford Sunday" was the track.
Avatar 1:55pm Carmichael:

@Glenn: are you referring to the How High the Moon performance at the Grammies a few years ago? His guitar playing is astonishing on that!
