Avatar 12:04am BadGuyZero:

Good evening, Therese!
  12:05am Scott Briggs:

This is bloody godawful play some Bob Welch instead! I'm going to bed....
Avatar 12:05am Pete from Boston (and NJ):

This song is messing with me from a couple of different directions and I resent it.
Avatar 12:07am BadGuyZero:

Sleep welch, Scott Briggs.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:09am MuttonChops:

Hola Thersita!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:13am Therese:

Hola, MuttonChops, BGZ and Pete FB(ANJ)! Que tal?
Avatar 12:13am KP:

Good evening, Therese.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:15am MuttonChops:

Busting my skull over some Being and Nothingness tonight! Ouch!!
  12:16am Holly in NC:

Hello Therese & all! Boomgates drew out of lurk mode ;-)
Avatar 12:17am BadGuyZero:

Boomgates reacords are totally worth the ridiculous Australia-to-US postage rates.
Avatar 12:18am KP:

That was an awesome track. Loved the descending bass.
Avatar 12:20am BadGuyZero:

<Jack Nicholson> You can't handle the chair! </Jack Nicholson>
Avatar 12:20am KP:

But you ARRRRRRRE in that chair ...
  12:21am Peter:

Long time listener, first time caller.
lookin' forward to listening live from Seattle.
Avatar 12:21am BadGuyZero:

Zoinks! Is there a ghost in the studio with you?
  12:22am blee:

Was that Shuggie Otis interrupting?
Avatar 12:22am KP:

Welcome Peter! What's the time difference? Is it still 1991 in Seattle?
  12:23am Peter:

I'm pretty sure I saw some kids wearing flannel today, yes...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:23am fleep:

West Coast gets Therese in prime time, while New Jersey sleeps
Avatar 12:25am KP:

I bought a flannel shirt in Seattle in October. Im set.
Avatar 12:27am BadGuyZero:

When I lived in Seattle it rarely got cold enough to warrant wearing a winter coat. A flannel shirt was enough to keep one properly warm.
Avatar 12:27am KP:

It was just a stopover. Airport PA was playing ... Nirvana.
Avatar 12:28am BadGuyZero:

Was it the "Grunge Lite" version?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:28am fleep:

Smells Like TSA Spirit
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:30am G:

No I don't have a gun
Avatar 12:34am Droll:

It hasn't been 1991 in Seattle since 1994, and again for a brief period in 2003, after which it was all "performance fabrics" instead of flannel.
I still rock the flannels.
Avatar 12:40am KP:

It was real thing, a bit above muzak level, louder in the facilities.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:42am fleep:

Grunge in the facilities makes sense
Avatar 12:42am KP:

Heard Nirvana, had a Seattle's best, bought flannel shirt. Cross that one off.
Avatar 12:45am BadGuyZero:

Seattle's Beast Coffee.
Avatar 12:46am Droll:

KP, Huh.... I didn't realize it was still on continuous loop everywhere here. You just stop hearing it after a decade or two. I'll see if I notice it next time I'm hiking in my Birkenstocks under the Space Needle.
Avatar 12:49am BadGuyZero:

I don't know if it's still there, but Muzak had a regional office on Broadway. There was a Jimi Hendrix statue on the sidewalk on the west side of the building.
Avatar 12:55am KP:

Remember while ago Newsday had story on how Muzak was changing. This was before they licensed actual tracks but they were doing orchestrated versions of "popular" songs. When the writer was there they were working on "My Ever Changing Moods."
Avatar 1:07am BadGuyZero:

I can't figure out the rhyme or reason to how it's determined when Easter is celebrated.
Avatar 1:09am BadGuyZero:

You might as well be speaking in French right now. I have no idea what MySQL [or any of the other stuff you're reading on that clipboard] is about.
Avatar 1:12am KP:

Therese, more Joan Crawford. You're getting there.
Avatar 1:13am amEdeo:

Avatar 1:13am amEdeo:

Actually I had a tomato off of one... and IT WAS DELICIOUS.
Avatar 1:15am BadGuyZero:

Turntable 2? Is that the one that makes impromptu one-channel-only versions? Or is that in another studio?
Avatar 1:16am BadGuyZero:

Don Juan is a wad.
Avatar 1:16am KP:

Never. you yammer the best, T!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:46am Julie:

Joy Divison brings us such joy
Avatar 1:46am BadGuyZero:

Hi Julie!

Did they replace the chair? I haven't heard it squeaking in a while.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:48am Therese:

The squeaky chair is around here somewhere. biding its time...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:53am Julie:

I love how BGZ is so well-versed in FMU equipment. Turntable 3 is usually the one i have issues with btw
Avatar 1:56am BadGuyZero:

I listen too much, Julie. *hee!*

Ok...turntable 3. I guess it's CD #2 that's prone to creating impromptu dance remixes if you play a CDR in it. I'm getting the numbers mixed-up.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:58am Therese:

It can be tempermental!
Avatar 1:58am BadGuyZero:

It's vexing!
Avatar 2:05am amEdeo:

Non-stop pizza party.
Avatar 2:06am Droll:

BGZ, If you buy the naming rights to the right faulty contraption, you can have your name cursed regularly!

Tranzistors reminds me of Sparks.
Avatar 2:08am amEdeo:

Anyone ordered nuts from FreshDirect?
Avatar 2:10am listener mark:

Wow. I've been drinking since Saturday afternoon , Monday morning all ready? Wasn't this on then or now? I've got to upgrade!
Avatar 2:11am BadGuyZero:

It took almost the duration of that song, but I was finally able to convince Google that I wasn't misspelling transistors nor looking for info on UFOs or honey. There's eleven sleeve variations for that Tranzistors single. I will [probably] not be purchasing one of each.
Avatar 2:14am KP:

Sleaze? Sounds like Verlaine.
Avatar 2:23am BadGuyZero:

How presumptuous of Bjork. How does she know that those songs parents weren't married???
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:27am fred:

Hello Therese and listeners. With the way crystalline ends, this remix kinda makes sense
Avatar 2:29am BadGuyZero:

Hello fred!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:30am fred:

Hello BGZ. I wonder whether Omar Souleyman was really involved with this
Avatar 2:30am BadGuyZero:

Carcass as in Carcass the Earache band???
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:31am Therese:

One and the same, BGZ!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:38am fred:

Only Tomorrow is the only track I've heard from MBV. Is the whole record like this? It sounds like an outtake from Loveless
Avatar 2:49am BadGuyZero:

@fred: The last two tracks on the album sound very different from the classic shoegazey MBV sound. My understanding is that most of the tracks were written back in the early-90s. That would explain why they sound similar to "Loveless." I like the new MBV album more each time I listen to it. I don't think it was worth a 21+ year wait. Had it been released in 94/95 it would have been praised. I think the two decade wait caused some people to expect it to be the best album ever made. At least they're playing live again. I'm looking to having my ears further annihilated by them in a concert hall sometime this year.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:52am fred:

@BGZ: that makes sense. I'd like to see them, but I'm afraid they will be out of my price range. I'm guessing a ticket for one of their shows will be more expensive than the full week of Sonic Protest
Avatar 2:53am KP:

Glad to hear it, BGZ!
Avatar 2:56am KP:

Almost that time. See you Therese. It's been a wonderful weekend.
Avatar 2:57am BadGuyZero:

@fred: Tix were $37 when I saw them in 2009.
Avatar 2:58am BadGuyZero:

And you're not THAT person, Therese.
Avatar 2:59am BadGuyZero:

Don't implicate me in your searching-amEdeo's-personal-effects scheme.
Avatar 3:00am BadGuyZero:

Calling 3:09am.
Avatar 3:01am KP:

more tuneful therese!
