Janis Ian  Society's Child (Baby I've Been Thinking)   Favoriting Between the Lines  Verve  1967  CD-R  An extraordinary song by an extraordinary woman. Janis Ian wrote this song when she was 14 years old, and it was released when when was 16. From a purely lyrical/political standpoint, this song is astonishing. No surprise, this song is in the Grammy Hall Of Fame.   
Martika  Toy Soldiers   Favoriting Martika  CBS  1988  CD-R  A classic 80's anti-drug ballad, sung by a former "Kids Incorporated" member, Martka. FYI: if you're a Martika fan - and really, who isn't? - check out the self help video "Mr. T's Be Somebody Or Be Somebody's Fool", made in 1984. It will make you REALLY not want to do drugs.

The Runaways  I Love Playin' with Fire   Favoriting Queens of Noise  Mercury  1977  CD-R  Maybe THE all girl - let alone teenage girls - band of all time. Joan Jett is as timeless as they come. (And "Kiss Me Deadly" is better than you remember....)
