	3:48am northguineahills: I once took Amtrak from J-ville to Ft-Lauderdale b/c my car was in the shop. It toolk 13 hours b/c it went to Tampa first, and since the freight train company (CSX) owned the tracks, many a time we had to be stationary while cargo trains went by. A straight drive would have been just plus of 5 hours.

	3:49am Brian in UK: We got some very lazy attempt at snow here. Cannot decide if it wants to hit the ground or just do a Spiritualised and float in space.
	3:51am northguineahills: NE corridor, DC-Boston, Amtrak owns the track, so it's an easy trip. I'd take the bus usually, but w/ a winter storm, and a taxi fare this was the cheaper alternative. I also only have to get there 2 minutes before the train leaves, and bring what ever I want in my luggage.
