Upcharge away!! You can't possibly pay enough for radio this good. WFMU is an unparallelled musical junction.. Bill Kelly keeps new and old efforts alive. Rock.

The performance studio is a bold and strong idea.
  3:52pm PB:

Hey Andrew, Paul B here. Just got home from son's Shakespeare performance. Doughboys as in the Canadian punk band from Montreal? Good stuff.

Syd Barrett has been especially inactive since his death in 2006.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:14pm Stevel:

That is a shame. More than one beer is awaiting me. Still, its only 4 pm/1600 here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:14pm Stevel:

PB: You're so right. Really put a crimp in his creative development.
Avatar 4:15pm Sigurdur:

Ohhhhh STEVE L weLl PuT
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:15pm fred:

Another reason to support Bill Kelly: it may sound like it's 1966, but there's also a lot of new music. That takes work, a labor of love. Time to return some of that

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:24pm Stevel:

Fred: Exactly. I don't know of any show on WFMU that is frozen in the past. Even Rex seems to transcend nostalgia. Its just good shit. Period.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:27pm fred:

@Stevel: Well, there's MAC. I don't think there are a lot of new cylinder releases these days. It doesn't stop his show from being awesome though

  4:52pm KM:

Rhymes with rain, you got it right.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:54pm Stevel:

Fred: Of course, you realize I listen to nothing but wax cylinders. Better than vinyl! Limited artist selection though.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:59pm fred:

@Stevel: Let's party like it's 1888!
Avatar 5:01pm Pete from Boston (and NJ):

There was a shop in Williamsburg that only sold new punk wax cylinders put out by cantankerous hipsters who felt releasing on vinyl was selling out. It closed when the rent tripled ten minutes after it opened.

Avatar 6:44pm Mailman Tom:

That would be Rod Taylor and he was threatened by the Morlocks. George Pal's best film!
  10:12pm Bill Kelly:

Yeah...I mis-spoke that Rod Stewart line. EVERYBODY knows that Rodney Sturt (not a typo) Taylor was in "The Time Machine".
  12:04pm Garageman:

Some of us on the UK do know about the daylight saving time switch in the USA as we have offices in New York. Sandy resulted in no electricity to our building in Lower Manhattan which completely screwed the publishing tools we access on a server in that building. Gosh, what has that got to do with the majestic sounds inherent on Teenage Wasteland? Not a lot except that I guess we are all living in a much smaller world and that such events impact on all our lives. See also the damage done to WFMU building and your ability to stream over the web. Hey, good luck with the 2013 MARATHON. I've gone for Fine Wine's Premium so please forgive.
