Hola, Minn Jeff.

Adam in Portland and Lynnwood:

I really look forward to listening through the entire Change the Beat compilation. I have read very positive reviews. I'm familiar with some of the artists; very unfamiliar with many others included.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:22am
Minnesota Jeff:

Ha, did this singer just say he doesn't understand the "purpose" of a grandmother?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:23am

Hello Bill, Adam, kim, KP 'n MJ. Snowy over here.
Avatar 3:23am
KP:

Is the same snakefinger who was associated w/ the residents?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:24am
Adam in Portland and Lynnwood:

@MJ: I wish I had caught that! HAHA! My grandmother, on my mother's side, was my basketball game watching partner, librarian hero, and cookie mound creator.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:24am
Adam in Portland and Lynnwood:

Hello, Brian! Same weather pattern here earlier today. Briefly.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:25am
Adam in Portland and Lynnwood:

P.S. Brian, I'm 5'10".
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:25am
Brian in UK:

@KP there's only one Snakefinger. He played with Martin Stone in Chili Willy & the Red Hot Peppers over here, early 70s.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:27am
Brian in UK:

I've been away a week. I only saw last night that the target was reached. Wonderful.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:28am

Reached, and close to $50,000 over currently. VERY exciting!

Adam in Portland and Lynnwood:

You all, across the pond, as they say, gave so many soul artists whose origins were in the U.S. their proper starts well before, and in some cases in lieu of, any success here. So many ages ago.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:33am
Brian in UK:

You know it is next to impossible to buy rye whiskey over here. Bourbon easy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:34am
Adam in Portland and Lynnwood:

That's because Shane Macgowan has depleted the entire stock, no?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:34am
Brian in UK:

Adam it's funny my early heros, Love, The Byrds etc were all American. It's a bit like what you cannot have you want.

I actually first encountered John Peel when he wrote the liner notes to The Blues Alone by John Mayall. That's how old *I* am. And some very witty liner notes they were, too.

I enjoy WFMU very much. The music is always entertaining. I am also quite happy that you guys play my old band, Morly Grey. I have heard your excellent DJs say we are from California, the UK and maybe one or two other places. Just wanted to let you know that those who named Alliance, Ohio as our home were correct. Thanks again for the great work and your playing of Morly Grey is much appreciated, sincerely Mark Roller (a fan)
