O'er better waves to speed her rapid course
The light bark of my genius lifts the sail,
Well pleas'd to leave so cruel sea behind;
And of that second region will I sing,
In which the human spirit from sinful blot
Is purg'd, and for ascent to Heaven prepares.

Chevrolet’s hilarious attempt at promoting safety for young drivers by singing about the laws of motion and centrifugal force, among many other automobile-related things. If you ever wondered what it would sound like if Belle & Sebastian were around in the 60s making music about driving, well then today is your lucky day.

Belle & Sebastian meets America meets driving instruction.

Eventually, you too will have to sleep & dream.

I found a new rabbit photo for RRN63. I need to be able to upload more than 7 images.

Oooh goodie! Before fancy digital synthesizers and filters and subwoofers there was Jah Wobble.

I step away for a prebed smoke and all hell breaks loose.

Frangry told a story on herrself around 2010-11, about stealing gum from the purse of a woman sitting next to her on an airplane while the woman was using the loo. Dunno if it was true or madeup, but it was a good story, and it gets thrown in her face a fair amount.

I remember when you could use a hole punch to double your storage space on a 5.25" floppy. Large scissors doubled it a third, fourth, and fifth time. The sharper the scissors, the more storage you had.

Oh look, Fabio's muffler is here to re-inflate the squirrel!

Hey, you got the first thunderword in Finnegans Wake on your profile page now. Could you have got it off Bryce's board today? :p

I'm trying to figure out what kind of band would use the name Thunderword. Christian heavy metal? Some rapper?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:15am
G:

all of the above?
Avatar 2:18am
Droll:

You *MUST* enter the thunderword into this high-quality text-to-speech converter: www.acapela-group.com...
Be sure to choose voice "Will Lilttle Creature" before hitting "Say It".
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:22am
G:

Which setting? the Queen Elizabeth voice? :p
Avatar 2:28am
Droll:

G, Isn't she special? It was tough to resist using that stuff in my T&C songs. I have bigger plans for this cast, though.
Avatar 2:28am
I X Key!:

@D how about an Irish free jazz band with like 40 drummers
Avatar 2:28am
I X Key!:

in it, among the other instruments!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:32am
G:

For those not in this loop, "T&C" means the Tullis and Clark SelectQuote ad remixes Droll did for Irwin's show a couple of years ago under the name "A Great Many." There's an endless number of loops *everyone* is out of.
Avatar 2:36am
I X Key!:

Maybe a thunderword in music could look like a Ligeti score in traditional or non-traditional notation
Avatar 2:37am
Droll:

IXK, I like the idea of a free jazz ensemble with one drummer per musician (make your own joke), so everyone gets to play to their own drummer.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:37am
G:

is it a trad or nontrad score that uses ligetures?
Avatar 2:41am
I X Key!:

@D/AGM that Will Little Creature voice sound is just the sound James Joyce was writing!!!
Avatar 2:51am
I X Key!:

Yeah ligatures are more traditional! & the nontrad score by Gyorgy Ligeti that was linked to earlier today in the chat was crazy & unheard-of notation!
Avatar 2:55am
Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

@I X Key!, @Droll: By utter coincidence, a friend wrote this to me tonight:
"I was running out of hard disk space on my home computer so I hole-punched it to allow me to write to the other side. Now it's no longer readable. Any advice?"
Avatar 2:57am
Droll:

IXK, I couldn't read either score. I'll bet authors wish they could be illiterate!

Kenzo, That was no coincidence. You'll see.
