I went to see The Relatives and Bobby Patterson a couple of weekends ago. This woman next to me was texting pretty much the entire show. And when she wasn't texting she was taking photos of her feet. I don't know why, but she took at least 40 photos of her feet during the show. :scratches head:

I remember seeing King Crimson @ Pier 84 back around 83 or 84. Now Crimson (and Fripp in particular) were kinda adamant about people sitting and shutting up while they were performing.

There were a few attendees who were less then cooperative who got "persuaded" with empty Whip-It containers, beer cans and other debris from the audience.

That show was good.

I went to the second of the four Terminal 5 shows that led up to LCD Soundsystem's final show at Madison Square Garden. James Murphy talked about going to shows when he was in high school and there were no cellphones and a camera was kind of pointless because the photos never turned out good. He asked everyone to put their phones away and just enjoy the show.

When the Underwater Scheme Park was plotting it's first/last show there was talk of a Eagles cover project done in the style of the Beatles. The band would be called the Beagles.

If I take photos during a show I make a point of keeping my camera in front of me at about shoulder level. If I need to hold it over my head I'll try to go to the back or side where I'm not going to be blocking someone's view.

When I'm at a show I turn the brightness on my phone's screen down so that it doesn't create a bunch of ambient light when I check my phone.

I don't necessarily have an issue with people texting or taking photos. But so many people do it in a manner that's inconsiderate of their fellow concertgoers.

I can imagine if that Google Glass thing takes off, maybe then we'll be able to enjoy shows again. I've been at some venues so packed, and so many cameraphones in the air i just gave up trying to crane my neck to see and just watched on some tools phone screen. And I'm not that short.

There was so much happening with the lights and the screens during that show.

I tweaked the brightness and contrast some. You pretty much have to with any photos taken with a point-and-shoot.

Helping Hands: Monkey Helpers for the Disabled, train Capuchin monkeys to assist quadriplegics and others w/ severe spinal cord injuries. After being socialized in a human home as infants, they undergo extensive training before being placed with a quadriplegic. Around the house, the monkeys help out by doing tasks including microwaving food, washing the quadriplegic's face and opening drink bottles.
