Avatar 10:23am ndbob:

@jeff @matt for sure
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:24am Jeff Golick:

@Matt: I lurv the p.d. In my day job as audiobook publisher, we've mined the public domain for all it's worth. We're sort of mercenary that way.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:24am Jeff Golick:

@Doug: I thought you might say that, so I licked all of them.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:24am Uncle Michael:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:25am Jeff Golick:

@UM: good luck to you, sir! May your mic breaks be audible.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:26am Uncle Michael:

thanks Jeff...I'll probably over-modulate
Avatar 10:29am Matt from Springfield:

Agree, NDBob!

@Jeff G: That's great, public domain = "stood the test of time"!
@NGH: Norway and Iceland (and Greenland, Scotland too in ways) are all very fjordy.
Avatar 10:31am Matt from Springfield:

Color film has been a convenience for much of the 20th century, but I like the really old color photos the photographers mixed themselves (a la Prokudin-Gorskii). Much brighter, more impressionist, more of an "art" than a "document" that way.
Avatar 10:35am still b/p:

Tell my family where I've gone: Public Domain Review. Had no idea my Friday would include "How the Bifurcated Girls Have Rough House in the Dressing room, " and "Fukurokuju Writing with His Head." Feeding my head!

@Jeff Golick
I just sent a sample of your DNA to Homeland Security.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:40am Jeff Golick:

@Doug: Howard Riley would like a word with you. Or a letter, at least.
Avatar 🥁 10:41am duke:

The Public Domain Review seems likely to be a great way to spend time. I'm going to read The Erotic Dreams of Emanuel Swedenborg? Who knew that ol' Emanuel had such a dirty mind?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:45am Jeff Golick:

The naked tennis players of Edward Muybridge also caught my eye...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:45am Doug Schulkind:

man, sounds like the sort of place i'd be lost for some time. like shorpy or letters of note.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:46am Doug Schulkind:

"The Naked Tennis Players of Edward Muybridge," is the title of my first novel! (Anyone know any good ghost writers?)
Avatar 10:46am northguineahills:

Avatar 10:47am still b/p:

"Dirty mind" is a fair substitute for whatever typically would go in the line, "An opinion is like a/an __________ , everybody's got one."

Dum and Dum-er!
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:49am listener james from westwood:

Jeff Albert seems to have a really good name.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:03am Doug Schulkind:

I just downloaded the Shuko Mizuno recently, but I can't for the life of me, retrace my steps. The old Google Reader could be searched and I'd find it in a NY minute. But now I'm using Feedly (with the demise of Google Reader) and it fucking doesn't have a search function. I'm still looking...

hey @ndbob - can't remember how far west you are in the great state of ND, but I was close to ND earlier in the week at Crookston MN - spent a chilly morning in a blind watching and listening to prairie chickens. Pretty flat up that way and my reference frame is South Florida. No snow though...

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:31am Alex In Illinois:

@Alex i IL - not a bird scientist, but I was visiting one. I run an academic institute for the UMN and we were showing the flag at our most remote campus. Pretty cool trip.
