Make no mistake—I love George Jones!—how could anyone not? I asked those guys where all the guns and hard liquor were. ...but yes, we are untwangling now...good made-up word, fleep.

Don't you have a downloadable podcast?
Avatar 12:27am
Wm.:

I did one once. It's available at the My Castle of Quiet blog, but a regular podcast, no. I think it's only streaming. ...

It's almost a year old; let me know if the link still works, not sure. my-castle-of-quiet.blogspot.com...

If you go to the archive and open recent shows with RealPlayer, you can record them. But after a time, that option goes away.

Whup- looks like I took the file down, but will happily restore.

Is there an RSS feed app? I know not of smartphones, my phone is dumb.
Avatar 12:33am
Wm.:

Get the WFMU app if you have not already. Everyone's last 4-5 shows can be streamed in very good fidelity—perhaps this is what you were thinking of? There's a crazy background shot of me in the knitted demon mask by Tracy Widdess.

I must admit I'm more familiar with Slayer than George Jones, even I haven't listened to them in many years

My guess is that the young lady to my left is hanging upside down on a pole, and the picture has been turned 90 degrees. The effect of turning it is somewhat disturbing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:42am
G:

i have to admit, i was a little concerned about where the parts of the pole could be that are not in the frame...

I never flip a frame; it is as it appears in the film. She is on her back. Bad things are happening.

I think there might be a way to download anything in the archives by posting modified links as comments but I'm saving it for something I really want in case I get kicked out :D

Is there any sci-fi film motif BETTER than alien rape and forced insemination? I think not.

I like this Onkunde track
Avatar 1:36am
Wm.:

Welcome, Ned! ... Yes, Onkunde is the soundtrack to the 70s sci fi film of my dreams. ... Possession was really oversold to me by a few people, and by the time I saw it, I couldn't help feeling disappointed, like it was way too pretentious or something. I do like many of Zulawski's other films, and have used captures from them here on the playlist. Silver Globe is a favorite, but it really had to grow on me; it's long, and filled with amazing visual and plot ideas.
