"Can's Ege Bamyasi played by Stephen Malkmus and Friends" doesn't exactly roll off the tongue as an album title.

It reminds me of that Soulwax compilation titled:
"Most of the remixes we've made for other people over the years except for the one for Einstürzende Neubauten because we lost it and a few we didn't think sounded good enough or just didn't fit in length-wise, but including some that are hard to find because either people forgot about them or simply because they haven't been released yet, a few we really love, one we think is just ok, some we did for free, some we did for money, some for ourselves without permission and some for friends as swaps but never on time and always at our studio in Ghent."

Our place is absolutely crawling with the so-called house centipedes. They're kind of fascinating actually. Tiger-stripey. The dog knows them all on a first-name basis.

Someone said those centipedes are toxic to dogs, so we're dealing with 'em on a purely diplomatic basis.

Agree on centipedes.

Ken:

OK, I got it. It wasnt poisonous, as I expected. Just a garden variety tarantula - their bites sting a little but carry no venom. This one looks to be pregnant so I will keep her in a jar in my office until she gives birth, and then I'll release them in a park.

Aren't the spiders in the studios to keep the centipedes in check?

Rev. Turnip Druid:

We've been negotiating a "two-state solution" but I'm thinking the centipedes will be using settlement-expansion as an act of aggression against the dog.

You did do it again. Varied music that is delicious. Rose Melberg's cover of "Jailbreak", Japanese klezmer, classical and various pops. All while a giant spider lurked nearby. Bravo.
