i was depressed to learn that material as recent as 2 decades ago has been re-recorded. and i could hear the difference. i just wanted this goofy little one-hit wonder that came out right around senior year of college and got this different pile of notes from itunes.

That list of 80's Sax solos does not mention anything by Lene Lovich! For me, the 1980's were defined by Lene Lovich, Talking Heads, Devo, Oingo Boingo, Black Uru, Fela Anikalupo Kuti and the rise of "world Music" and the golden age of Hip-Hop.
