Second Hendrix hit on WFMU today - Scott McD played "3rd Stone from the Sun" this AM.

Must be something in the air.

It worked in each case, though.

Something in the Air was Thunderclap Newman.

Prodcued by Pete Townshend, btw.

Hey Mike, I still have my original Crybaby on a shelf somewhere, along with my Bluesbreaker pedal. I've been using my Boss ME-50 floor unit for just about everything. Big, loud and only semi-grounded. Inferior technology rules!

I was napping during the Jon Rose interview. That made for some curious dream imagery. Especially when I created a website that interpreted aleatoric scores.

@Carmichael - those pedal boards confuse me...too many options. They do sound nice if you can figure them out, though.

Carmichael:

@Mike: I bought it in the mid 70s new, so it's pretty old and abused. The Bluesbreaker pedal is a late 60s model I bought from a private party about the same time as the Crybaby. I have a fuzzbox too (phase shifter), although I can't remember who makes it. After hearing Lou Reed's Rock'n'Roll, I was sold.

cool, Carmichael. My favorite oldass pedal to use is the Boss CE1 - stereo chorus ensemble. I'm usually playing through multiple amps so the stereo effect is pretty mindblowing...especially coupled with the vibrato/tremelo channels on the amps I use.
Avatar 5:31pm
Carmichael:

The picture on the Jon Rose site depicting the Great Fences of Australia project is stunning in its simplicity. I could swear Storm Thorgeson did it.
Avatar 5:32pm

I'll check it out, Mike. Stereo chorus was a great guitar effect back in the day.
