@Matt: Ha! How are spending your 4th in Springfield today?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:26am
Matt from Springfield:

Quietly at home, then an outdoor ribs BBQ at the parents!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:27am
Joe McG:

It's so hot and damp here that the cow could probably cook itself.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:29am
Matt from Springfield:

Pretty humid here, despite not being hot the last couple of days (due to rains) it still feels steamy.

- up heah in NewHampshuh - @ 9:30 in the mornin' it's already upper 70sF - humidity 79% - dewpoint 72F

Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- Brazilian stuff just doesn't quit !

...Amongst us AstrologyEnthusiasts - this is discussed much: Some do think it was the 2nd (signing of Declaration I guess) - & only announced on the 4th.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:39am
Matt from Springfield:

Opening windows doesn't help if *that's* what's outside!

If you think about it, the Dec was probably finished (or "born") on the 2nd--first signed on the 4th. Though many of the Congress apparently didn't sign it for another month.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:42am
Matt from Springfield:

Very familiar! So deja vu familiar that it sounds like I've heard both the Brazilian and Pipe Dream ones somewhere before.

Quick hello Joe. Alternate take, 'The Last Day of June 1934' by Al Stewart. Came from an album with a song for every decade of the twentieth century. Past, Present & Future.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:44am
Joe McG:

Happy 4th to you, Meghan! Great job, as always! Hey, Brian!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:45am
Matt from Springfield:

PP&F, great album! Hey Brian!

Aha! "The Declaration was ultimately a formal explanation of why Congress had voted on July 2 to declare independence from Great Britain, more than a year after the outbreak of the American Revolutionary War. The national birthday, the Independence Day is celebrated on July 4, although Adams wanted July 2."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:46am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- nevermind when we AstrolHeads start asking for a Time of Day; what Moment exactly is a Nation 'born'??
- a sidenote is that those nutty Freemasonish FoundingDudes were possibly thinking of a Chart themselves (Ben & his Almanac ferinstance)
- altho' the conclusion of many of the AstrolEnthusiasts is that this is a BirthChart of a people trying to win a Revolt against MadKingGeorge - but we are good & stuck w/it now!...

That Michael F. was pretty damn great sounding, for a demo in particular.
Avatar 9:47am

Wish my "demos" sounded that good.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:49am
Matt from Springfield:

So really, the action to declare independence WAS the 2nd, and this text explaining why was ratified on the 4th. And in fact most signed from July 19 to August 2, with one straggler (Matthew Thornton) not signing until Nov 4!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:49am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Voted on 2nd. Thx Matt.

Nice baroquey pop! Sounds like it could be a 60s cover, but I haven't found a composer for it yet.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:43am
Joe McG:

@Matt: I think it's a new tune (especially with words like "provocation" in it), but like a lot of Tracey's material, it was going for a 60s pop sound, totally.
