Listener comments!
9:05am : loved this, all the little doodads wrapping around raquel welch![]()
9:05am : Guten Morgen Bob!![]()
♥ 9:05am :
ooh I'm gonna have to rent Fantastic Voyage...don't think I've seen it in its entirety.
good morning, BB.![]()
♥ 9:05am :
Yeesh....those antibodies gave me nightmares when I saw that movie as a kid.9:09am : This is a gem, Bob!![]()
♥ 9:38am :
love Drive. love the soundtrack. bought the bluray as soon as it came out...the only bluray I've ever purchased.![]()
♥ 9:40am :
...too young for the coonskin caps
- but not for associating Saturdays w/ SciFi matinees on screens big & small...![]()
♥ 9:45am :
@Revolution Rabbit, re: Scifi Saturdays - me too...what's up with that? What is it about watching Science Fiction films on Saturday mornings that comforts me so much? I believe I inherited it from my father. I think I just answered my own question.10:11am : You read my mind. I wanted to hear some Hushdrops but did not want to put that pressure on you. Thanks for the great twin spin.10:19am : @Mike E. - Mike, I used to watch SF movies with my Dad Sat. mornings, probably shouldn't have, I was young <5, used to have great horrible robot monster nightmares, for years. It made me what I am today. No child under the age of 12 should be allowed to see "Invaders from Mars" (or Godzilla even)![]()
♥ 10:26am :
@Jack - I've already started passing it down to my daughters...one of them pretty much since she came out of the womb. Although I can't watch Dr. Who with my 8 year old anymore because she had some nightmares...I've toned it down a little.![]()
10:31am : funny how a lot of the stuff from old sci fi films is coming into reality. then again, the jetsons missed the mark entirely![]()
10:32am : comfort from comfort..... hehehe![]()
♥ 10:38am :
Yeah, Saturday AM's as a kid was definitely cartoons...I think my association with scifi started later...could have been MST3K related even. I think they were re running Chiller Theater a few years ago on WPIX, or whatever that station is now.![]()
♥ 10:39am :
...the past can be kind of blurry. All I have is its reflection in the present.![]()
10:40am : "warm canto" is so great.![]()
10:49am : and to add my other 2 cents: channel 48 (philly) ran "creature double feature" ("kung fu theatre" as well) at some point on the weekends.
