Favoriting Brian Turner: Playlist from July 23, 2013 Favoriting

Order and disorder in a freeform haze of terribly-played guitars, shorted-out electronics, found audio detritus, strange sounds from strange lands all around. Psych-punk-junk, collage, even pop. Lots of in-studio live performances to boot.

Oh, Die Kreuzen were great. Mudhoney were pretty good. Hepa/Titus (former Cows members) were puzzling but did a really good version of "I'm A Sieve". There weren't as many people as I thought there would be there. They may have all bailed after the Melvins. Who knows? But a good show and a good day to have it.

Avatar 4:50pm

They still have it. I have to post my pix on Twitter.
I got a short vid of a Keith Brammer douhair flip. The minute that guy grew out his hair, it was pure metal hair for him. Dan and the drummer look the same, except Dan has dreads. Herman looks like an insurance agent, but he still kicks ass. Keith looks like a member of Poison or Faster Pussycat on an oldies tour. But God bless him, he still brings it.

Some guy and his girlfriends is ranting at the top of his lungs because no cabs will stop for him, and we're all a bunch of hicks, and blah blah. They go back in the bar. His cab shows up, and dude's driver shows up and tries to call him and call him and call him. I ask the driver if I can take his cab, and he's cool with it. I'm leaving just as my cab comes, and I see them running toward the door. hahahaha At least my cab got a fare. YOU SNOOZE YOU LOSE.
