Avatar 3:59am
Chris M.:

Avatar 3:59am
kiemzi:

who do you like better, spiro or gyra?
Avatar 3:59am
marksaot:

The wrong kind of roach :/
Avatar 4:04am
Chris M.:

@kiemzi: definitely prefer gyra. spiro was kind of a sourpuss whereas gyra is delicious and comes with that white sauce.
Avatar 4:06am
marksaot:

Holy shit Muzzy has an intimidating voice for a green fuzzy thing. Going to bookmark that shit. Been doing rosetta, not too bad so far.

is everybody having a nice summer? go to the beach?
Avatar 4:15am
marksaot:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:15am
davex:

Not bad, a lot of travel. And you?
Avatar 4:18am
marksaot:

What's been one of your favorite traveling destinations so far this summer?
Avatar 4:19am
marksaot:

I was reading in a WWII biography of some pilot, that one summer in Chicago it was consistently hitting 106's and no one had ac, and thousands died, or some shit like that. Yeah technology. :)
Avatar 4:21am
Chris M.:

every year, i tell myself i'm going back to antarctica to resume my work with the penguins, but every year i forget and skip it. i was teaching the penguins to play mini-golf. i'm sure someone else is probably continuing my work
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:24am
davex:

New York was great - now I'm in SoCal...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:29am
davex:

No penguins here, but there may be mini-golf...
Avatar 4:30am
marksaot:

I heard some one built wind mills on the courses and mutiny took root and the penguins massacred the researchers. All while looking classy. Lucky you stayed put this summer.
Avatar 4:32am
Chris M.:

sounds like a true tragedy. i'll have to choose another flightless bird to teach.
Avatar 4:34am
marksaot:

I'de go ostrich. It'd be such a quick painless death.
Avatar 4:42am
marksaot:

K, did some fact checking... it was Manhattan in 1936 where the temp would reach 106 degrees and forty people died. Not thousand, not chicago. And they had ac, but it was rare and Louie (guy in book) Zampirini would go to movies and sleep through them just for the ac.

Avatar 5:38am

Music Trivia: Benjamin Orr was thoroughly offended that this song was used by Amy Heckerling in "Fast Times". He was a strong proponent of "Abstinence Only" education
Avatar 5:41am

Avatar 5:41am
