Whew...you had me worried. I did an internet search to make sure Mary Tyler Moore hadn't passed away unbeknownst to me.

Hi Therese, Hi Kiddles ! nice start and I love this Smiths tune too !

This set contains the 2014 Lollapalooza headliners, right? :D

BadGuyZero: You're not the only one jumpy about mortality. When the Glenn Jones show started with American Pie today, I was sure someone was dead. It was, of course, the beginning of a tribute to the end of Maxwell's.

I remember hearing this Split Enz tune in college.
Avatar 12:18am
Therese:

Yup, I'm feeling a bit nostalgic tonight.
Avatar 12:20am
BadGuyZero:

In the early 80s when Nickelodeon was only on for 12 hours a day they frequently aired a Split Enz concert on the weekends. The first time I ever saw The Bongos was on a Fred Newman-hosted talk show that was on Nickelodeon back then.

I'm just going to have to favorite every song tonight, aren't I?

American Pie? It was promised on the FMU site that if you left your dial right here you'd never have to hear that one again.

Yeah, I graduated five years ago myself......but I don't think I was ever invited to any events. (But then again, I rarely ever check my Facebook anymore, so yeah.....=O)

think it was '86 for me first time at Maxwell's - the Replacements .. boohoo . :(
  12:36am
Steve-O:

@Tome: Yeah, sad to see 'em go. I definitely enjoyed Hackamore Brick, though. Can you believe they've been around since the '60s? (No joke, man.)

Apparently my 25-year high school was last night. A former classmate sent me a message yesterday afternoon asking if I was going. It was the first I had heard of it. I probably still wouldn't have gone if I'd known about it ahead of time.
  12:38am
Steve-O:

@BGZ: Guess it must've been pretty sucky for ya, huh? =(

Maxwells was kind of haul from LI and only made there once. But did see the Feelies

First time I'm hearing Therese's show (it's a Canadian holiday and I can be up this late). I love this. It's a ten. A ten, I say! Good stuff!!!

BGZ, Ha! I just got an invite to my 25th HS reunion. There was a 10 year, a 20 year, now a 25 year reunion... Next there will be a 27 year reunion, and soon we're all back to seeing each other every day and sharing lockers.
  12:41am
KP:

It's a HS reunion every weekend for me. Or was. One of reasons I was persuaded to abandon the island
  12:41am
Steve-O:

@Chris: Are you in Eastern Canada, btw? =)
Avatar 12:44am
BadGuyZero:

@Droll: Five years ago I received info about a 20-year reunion that wasn't mine (it was for a high school in California). Person had the same name and birthdate. I was tempted to go.

@Steve-O: I wouldn't say that high school was sucky for me. It's more that I haven't had moments where I wondered what any of my classmates are like 25 years later. I didn't have much in common with them back then; I doubt that much has changed in the past 25 years.
  12:45am
Steve-O:

@BGZ: Alright, cool. Yeah, my own HS years weren't too bad, either, although it seems there were plenty of missed opprotunities.....ah well, at least I can remember the good times, though. =)

Happy Civic/Provincial Day, Chris!
I had a role in planning my 5, 10, 20, and 25-yr HS reunions. because I am a sucker.
Avatar 12:51am
BadGuyZero:

@Steve-O: The highlights of my high school years are pretty much all shows I went to: Replacements, Love & Rockets, Ramones, Echo & The Bunnymen, The Godfathers, Dead Milkmen and a bunch of local bands. I'm still friends with a bunch of people I met at shows back then.
  12:52am

Chris, I was just thinking first time I heard Therese was on a drive like I took tonight up coast. I had heard of her but not tuned in previously. Was kind of stunned.
