The program formerly known as Dinner at Andy's, The Fuzzy Glove Hour, Whores, and The Happiness Hut. Ken and Andy, also known as The Enema Boys, further lower WFMU's already abysmal standards on a weekly basis. Stunt radio which subjects the radio audience to concepts and topics which mature adults should not have to endure. Find the fatal flaw. (Visit homepage.)

Andy sounds so young, slim and vital!

Ange:

@northguineahills Yeah, Ken sent me a REAL MEDIA file today. This episode is from February 2004!
  6:08pm
anonymous coward:

fun fact: RealNetworks still exists today

Do not forget Muffley Merkin, President of the US of A in Dr. Strangelove....

@anonymous coward: RealNetworks posts $18.5M loss, Glaser still ‘very confident’ in turnaround www.geekwire.com...

@anonymous coward: I tried the handle "scared coward" for xbox live but alas it was taken
Avatar 6:15pm

what has been learnt can not be unlearned - merkin...
Avatar 6:15pm
northguineahills:

I know I've listened to 7 second delay online since 2000, and online, the sound quality was much worse then that back then (WFMU since '98 online).
Avatar 6:16pm
Danne D:

Love the comments. Can't believe I got through.
Avatar 6:17pm

Danne D - good call on the Best Show :)
Avatar 6:17pm
Danne D:

Thanks Hamburger, that's nice of you to say :)
Hi everyone :)
Avatar 6:18pm
hamburger:

hah, andy can't give a compliment without adding a burn
Avatar 6:18pm
Danne D:

These reruns always make me wistful hope that one day the "20 Questions" episode from the mid-late 90s will somehow emerge and be aired :)
Avatar 6:21pm
northguineahills:

Wow, they have no Spanish aptitude. jaja!
Avatar 6:22pm
Caryn:

While Andy rants about the impossibility of the episode, a little factoid about merkins: merkins made of beaver pelt are the reason people use "beaver" to refer to vaginas.
Avatar 6:22pm
northguineahills:

then again, my Finnish is non-existent.

Greg from Bloomfield:

Was this really 2004?! I would've swore that this happened like 2 years ago...
Avatar 6:24pm
northguineahills:

all, I know, is the original reason for the merkins was b/c prostitutes would get various STDs where the sores would eliminate the pubic hair. So, the merkins would be used to hide the lack of pubic hair.
  6:25pm
green mountain man mark:

I can't handle this. So simple Spanish and Andy feels he has ..son of ..- a bitch
Avatar 6:25pm
hamburger:

who needs the rosetta stone cds when you have this?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:26pm
G:

Gotohellastone
Avatar 6:26pm
Caryn:

@NGH: also true. If a prostitute seemed to have pubic hair, she not only seemed more healty, but was also considered higher-class, and thus, could charge more.
Avatar 6:26pm
northguineahills:

exactly, green mountain man mark!
  6:26pm
green mountain man mark:

Lets let the joke end on the white boy/Jew boy.
Avatar 6:28pm
northguineahills:

now, i know where the slang, beaver, came from. (I first came across beaver in Vonnegut's "Breakfast of Champions". I was 16, and I suppose it had lost currency of teenage slang in the 90s.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:28pm
G:

which wife was that? :p
Avatar 6:31pm
Danne D:

Best answer ever :)
Avatar 6:32pm
Danne D:

@ngh it lives on anytime Frank Drebin is on the tv screen
Avatar 6:32pm
northguineahills:

wow, I have no idea what Andy is saying!
Avatar 6:33pm
northguineahills:

When I first saw Naked Gun, I didn't get the reference.
Avatar 6:33pm
Caryn:

Considering how difficult Andy finds this, I can't even imagine how hard it would be for him if the joke was translated into Finnish...
Avatar 6:37pm
hamburger:

on the radio for how many years?! :D
Avatar 6:38pm
Caryn:

@Danne & NGH: the translation of the beaver joke into other languages can be challenging, since many languages don't use "beaver" that way. Or "pussy".
Avatar 6:39pm
hamburger:

@Caryn at which point you fire that translator and hire an interpreter :B
Avatar 6:39pm
Ange:

Should they re-do this idea a decade later with Siri?
Avatar 6:42pm
Danne D:

Anything involving Andy asking Siri questions is a good premise, Andrea :)
Avatar 6:43pm
Ange:

@G That's his new bride Beth giggling!
Avatar 6:43pm
hamburger:

Lord have mercy on Andy's Spanish teacher's soul for those 2 years.
  6:43pm
Dean:

I know this is like...a bit...but Andy has to be extremely ignorant to not have gotten through this by now
Avatar 6:45pm
Caryn:

The joke in Finnish:
Mies ajaa moottoritiellä. Hänen vaimonsa soittaa hänelle, ja sanoo: "Ole varovainen, rakas! Uutisissa sanottiin, että joku hullu ajaa kuulemma väärään suuntaan moottoritiellä." Mies huudahtaa: "Joku hullu? Niitähän on satoja!"
  6:46pm
Franken NewYork:

How would someone who doesn't speak any english know to call in? They don't understand english.
Avatar 6:47pm
hamburger:

@Caryn: Google translate, translate that as "A man driving on a motorway. His wife calls him and says, "Be careful, my dear! News said that someone heard a crazy ride in the wrong direction on the motorway." A man exclaims: "Some crazy? Niitähän there are hundreds!"" pretty close, except for Niitähän?
Avatar 6:48pm
hamburger:

@Franken New York: I guess they would need to be able to understand two languages, if that would ever be possible.
Avatar 6:49pm
Caryn:

Danne, you sound so different in 2004!

I kid, I kid...
Avatar 6:51pm
Caryn:

@hamburger: that's pretty good for Google Translate
Avatar 6:51pm
steve:

as someone whos only come to ssd in the past few years its good to see the trainwrecks have always been a part of the show
  6:51pm
Dean:

How is he still pronouncing it wrong is it's written phonetically?
Avatar 6:53pm
Caryn:

@Dean: well, Andy's the one who wrote it down phoneticallly, and can't read his own handwriting. So basically, he's the weak link here.
Avatar 6:53pm
hamburger:

.... oh andy
Avatar 6:57pm
Danne D:

lol Caryn I just caught that one :)
I'm sure you can dig around and find how I sounded in 2004 on one of these archives.
  6:57pm
Dean:

No puedo.
  6:58pm
phil:

what a train wreck
Avatar 6:58pm
northguineahills:

Yeah, even by 7SD standards, this is a train wreck.
  7:00pm

Just have Ken read it..lol
