Familiar & forgotten gems from 50-plus years of music on the darker side, shoegaze, synthpop, goth, psychedelia, darkwave, with unapologetic detours into 70s pop. In a dark night of the soul, it's always 3 o'clock in the morning.

Matt, I've been traveling through time zones so my FMU schedule has been upside down. Checking in from the L.A. area right now. Not a proper German myself either...

I really oughta listen to the whole Orange album, I like all that I've heard so far from it.

As a matter of fact, Patrick called Pink Moon his "masterpiece" album, but I always liked Bryter Layter best of all. PM is a stronger concept album, but BL's songs are more emotional and vivid to me. And with those chamber music instrumentals bookending the sides, it is kind of a concept album itself.
