I have to miss work tomorrow to go to court b/c on July 4th, my friend's rooftop bbq was broken up by the fuzz. me, and 4 other lads, were handcuffed and stopped and frisked (they looked to see if we had warrants). They claim landlords need to have a rooftop access permit, so we were trespassing (out of the 70+ on the roof). It's only $75, but my summons is illegible since it was a carbon copy. I've gone into the court database, and my name is nowhere to be found. The court info office won't pick up or answer my voice mails. I just wish I could pay the fines and get this out of my hair.
