She sang God BLess America in rain at like 2 am at Yankee Stadium. i sent her a message saying it was a great performance under circumstances. She replied right away and was quite cool. A friend stole her away tweeting about her piano playing but it was nice while it lasted.

	👻 10:21am tim from champaign: I just read/looked at the book Wired Up. It's a great collection of 70s glam and proto-punk European 45 sleeves.
	10:21am Cecile: there have been glam-influenced bands here and there like Tsar and the Vandalias, but it's true that the youngsters have embraced it.

	10:24am Ike: Yep, Tim, Laura C. is cool. When I first discovered FMU in the 90s, I shunned her show when it was on Sat. afternoons after Dave Mandl, but I gradually came around. Classic country and indie country's good qualities were a total surprise (vs. the slick modern commercial stuff, which was all I knew).

	10:26am Joe McG: I agree with tonyb. Really great book, wish I had a copy for myself! There's also a very good Evan Davies archive where he talked to the author and they played glam chestnuts.
	10:27am Cecile: I gotta say, even though some of my favorite music is country, and I grew up with classic country and Hee Haw, soul and rock spoke to me a lot more.
	10:27am Cecile: More forward looking, less traditional I guess.

A friend stole her away tweeting about her piano playing but it was nice while it lasted.

	10:24am Ike: Yep, Tim, Laura C. is cool. When I first discovered FMU in the 90s, I shunned her show when it was on Sat. afternoons after Dave Mandl, but I gradually came around. Classic country and indie country's good qualities were a total surprise (vs. the slick modern commercial stuff, which was all I knew).

	10:26am Joe McG: I agree with tonyb. Really great book, wish I had a copy for myself! There's also a very good Evan Davies archive where he talked to the author and they played glam chestnuts.
