When Sleater-Kinney comes in, it's a good day.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:17pm Ken From Hyde Park:

"Comes on," I meant. Where's my proofreader at?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:18pm eyenoise:

Hey now! A Hüskers song I don't know?
Avatar 3:18pm fred:

Sleater-Kinney!!! Yesterday was Carrie Brownstein's birthday
Avatar 3:18pm Dr. Goot:

Hello Minnesota!
Avatar 3:19pm fred von helsing:

when I tuned in this morning it was zola jesus. a nice start to the radio day.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:19pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...on a Dü/Mould kick lately...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:22pm eyenoise:

Tell us more about this 7th Street Entry "album", Mr. B. I realize I have given that YouTube'd 7th Street Entry show a spin...
Avatar 3:22pm fred:

@Ken From Hyde Park: "oh come on" is one of the weakest tracks on The Julie Ruin's record. I think it's totally great, but even for someone who's not a rabid Kathleen Hanna fan, it should be good
Avatar 3:24pm fred von helsing:

agreed, the oh come on vid is lacking sumpink
Avatar 3:24pm fred:

@FVH: Did you catch BCBG's set on Trouble's show? I got one of their tracks stuck in my head most of the week, funny thing is it took me days to realize it was theirs
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:27pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...popular opinion seems to be (?) that the Hüskers are stuck in continual 'Let It Be Mode' w/ each other - & so no Remasters or other - ?- ?...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:28pm DJ PB:

@Eyenoise: Not really an album. Just me playing the tune from YouTube. Where are the enterprising bootlegs when you need them?!?

@everyone else: Thanks for tuning in and commenting!
Avatar 3:28pm fred von helsing:

@fred I missed that
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:30pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...gotta go back to werk - but so far seems like not one millimeter of useless space between bricks of *this* Set...
Avatar 3:31pm fred:

@FVH: here's my latest earworm: freemusicarchive.org...
Avatar 3:34pm fred von helsing:

whoa that intro is straight from Lush
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:35pm Mike East:

time for some PBR...Paul Bruno Radio
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:37pm eyenoise:

Ha I designed the cover of that Versus 7"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:38pm eyenoise:

This set gets 5 stars, that Rose Tattoo song had me worried...
  3:39pm whitevomit:

Yay!!! Big quiet!!!
Avatar 3:40pm fred:

Confession: I think The Julie Ruin's record is really good, but the last track really freaks me out. In a good way, but it hits so close to home it sounds like a farewell
Avatar 3:43pm fred von helsing:

@fred nifty track but not earwig here :)
Avatar 3:45pm fred von helsing:

i get a thrill out of deceptacon live on one of the late night chats, carson daly I think, man what power they had :-D
Avatar 3:49pm fred:

Le Tigre were amazing live... They could get me to dance, no small feat
Avatar 3:53pm fred:

I'm biased though, Kathleen Hanna can do no wrong in my eyes, unless she disses Cynthia Loemij
Avatar 3:54pm fred von helsing:

a reminder to all, feel free to join & post www.facebook.com...
Avatar 3:54pm fred von helsing:

Kathleen Hanna is cool but I want Donita Sparks to have my demon spawn :-P
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:55pm Mike East:

I'm jealous, fred. I bet that was a great show (or shows)
Avatar 3:58pm fred:

@FVH: I still haven't joined faceborg
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:58pm DJ PB:

@Eyenoise: I had that 7"! I think I may have given it to a lady I was trying to impress. (I didn't work).
Avatar 4:00pm fred von helsing:

@fred sign up under a ridiculous proxy name that can't be traced to you anyways it's a group formed more or less around this masterpiece collection: kangnave.blogspot.fr...
Avatar 4:01pm fred:

@Mike East: one was a total blast from the past: I spent half the show dancing with a girl who was wearing a prom dress and a tiara, ended hugging her and her girlfriend and laughing to tears without ever exchanging a word
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:02pm Mike East:

that's sounds about what I would expect. :)
  4:03pm kdan:

what is this beat?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:04pm Gavin:

RZA - Ghost Dog soundtrack
Avatar 4:05pm fred:

@FVH: I'm very familiar with that collection -- and I love it. I'm still not joining faceborg
@Mike East: KH does that, she's a deity
  4:05pm aileen:

you forgot the Spizzles!
  4:05pm kdan:

wrd
Avatar 4:07pm fred von helsing:

@fred if you do, the faceBorg has succeeded :-O
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:09pm common:

thanks for taking me back to the early 90s. i love that verus album and the artwork!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:09pm common:

versus sorry
Avatar 4:09pm fred von helsing:

BAD Miki !!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:09pm Mike East:

yeah, I stay away from facebookcorp, too.
Avatar 4:10pm fred:

Paul Bruno has one of the top bed musics on the station. When do we get that on a regular basis? Paul, did you apply for a slot on the next schedule?
Avatar 4:12pm fred von helsing:

I like faceBorg to the extent that it is a very broad, very slow-motion cocktail party where everybody is trading witticisms and sly observations. Plus nice band posts with access to streams and stuff. The rest of the Borg I wouldn't give you five cents for.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:13pm eyenoise:

Hüsker Dü deserve as much air time as possible!
Avatar 4:14pm fred:

I don't want to join faceborg because I don't want to deal with the whole "friend me" dynamics. LinkedIn is lame enough, I don't want that squared
Avatar 4:17pm fred von helsing:

Finns seem pretty level-headed about this "friend" stuff. AFAIK nobody stresses. I don't. And i do NOT link to ANYONE at work.
Avatar 4:19pm fred:

I live in France, unfortunately, drama is rampant here
  4:20pm Curly Whirly:

SORRY! Newton, Massachusetts's finest!! Jonathan is much missed
by us Chowder and Hardcore girls and boys!!!
Avatar 4:30pm fred:

Seriously, Paul. Any shot of you getting a regular slot?
Avatar 4:37pm On the Yazoo:

Hey all. I'm enjoying the show on the patio. Hmm I need to throw something on the grill.
  4:39pm kdan:

this is an awesome show. gotta be careful dancin around the tablesaw.
Avatar 4:51pm fred:

@FVH: Donita Sparks and I share a birthday, but I never could really get into L7. Maybe that connection made me hostile from the start
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:52pm DJ PB:

@Fred That's very flattering but I'm quite happy in my current role.

@kdan Be careful around that tablesaw!

@Yazoo Be careful around that grill!
  4:53pm Dan Drogynous:

Amazing Show!!
  4:53pm kdan:

dude I'm stage divin off it
Avatar 4:59pm fred:

@DJ PB: If you're happy with it, I won't ask for more. A rare treat is good too (at least that's what my dentist claims). Don't make it too rare though
  5:04pm Ignore Function:

I've seen these guys a couple times. Damn fine each time.
  5:09pm dc pi:

Where am I?
  5:10pm dc pi:

Nice tunes, thank you Sir dj
  5:12pm dc pi:
