Listener comments!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:10pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Hi, Joe. Do the 91.9 folks want a guitar neck of their own?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:10pm tim from champaign:

Smoking start Joe! Thanks for the 84 Tigers last week. Your mojo worked.
Avatar 12:13pm Joe B:

Hi Tim, didn't work in Game 2! Hi Ken, not sure I understand the question!
Avatar 12:18pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Ken - then that would be Four Chord Monte...too complicated - as Pete Townshend said - 'you might be up before the Comittee!'...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:28pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Rick Nielson of Cheap Trick has a 4-neck guitar. The 4th neck could have 91.9 for the good citizens of Rockland County. blog.sharemyguitar.com...
Avatar 12:28pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- a long & perfect Set - all new this year but one.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:32pm Dominick:

re: mastering - "Cool it, Reba"
Avatar 12:32pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...oh well...uh - the three-neck cartoon is (cough) - Vintage - you know...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:37pm Mike Sin:

"Brickwalled" digital mastering, as it is termed in the biz... A weird trend just to master albums louder so nothing is lost in earbuds... Don't understand the reason for it myself... Digital actually has a wider dynamic range than analog, but seems to be used just to squash dynamic range during the past few years.

Anyway, happy to be listening to your show today, Joe!
  12:39pm Liz B.:

Excited for the Blind Shake's live set in a few weeks!
Avatar 12:40pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- oh dear - things are being Engineered for earbuds now - ?!...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:43pm Mike East:

I don't stick anything in my ears except Qtips...and maybe earplugs
Avatar 12:44pm KP:

Gotta tell DJ Heat about Blind Sheik.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45pm tim from champaign:

Mike, so you and Iggy can claim you've never had it in the ear before?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45pm Mike East:

just one of the many things I have in common with Iggy Pop.
Avatar 12:49pm Joe B:

ah, sorry ken not with it today!
Avatar 12:49pm Joe B:

Hi everyone, thanks for tuning in! appreciate it!
Avatar 12:50pm KP:

Mike Sin there is a school of thought on analog's range is endless, that better equipment will always reveal more magic. It's that search that used to fuel stereo as hobby. Digital by definition is limited to a certain number of x's and o's.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:55pm tim from champaign:

Oh man, speaking of Human Eye...RIP Fast Eddie, drummer of Clone Defects. Don't know the details but he passed on yesterday.
Avatar 12:56pm Joe B:

you read my mnd tim, tribute is on deck
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:57pm tim from champaign:

Right on, Joe.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:02pm Stevel:

Thank you once again Joe B. Great music to get stuff done by.
  1:03pm Bluesman:

Hey Joe, I was talking to Mike from the Cynics last night via iPhone FaceTime. He mentioned your show and he mentioned that Little Steven basically blacklisted the Cynics from XM Sirius? WTF? an we remedy that somehow?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:05pm efd:

Thanks for this, Joe. Sad news about Fast Eddie.
Avatar 1:05pm Joe B:

hey Blues! I don't know what caused it but I think every get hip band was banned for a time, don't know if that is still in effect. cynics not banned from FMU though!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:07pm tim from champaign:

Something tells me that Timmy's lyrics are inspired by real events.
  1:07pm Bluesman:

I know that. Just weird to hear that. And besides, whats so "underground garage" about Southside Johnny and Bruce?????
Avatar 1:08pm Joe B:

yeah efd, bummer. wish i could have found the session.
  1:10pm Bluesman:

Oh, I just heard you mention a "Fast Eddie" from the oter room. sad to hear, but my heart dropped because I thought it was about the demise of long time (semi-estranged) bro and New Haven CT "Legend" Fast Eddie Budds.
Avatar 1:12pm KP:

They are suddenly drilling outside my window and it's so loud i cant hear Three Chord Monte! Tell me what's going on.
  1:13pm Bluesman:

.......who is still alive and well as far as I know.
Avatar 1:14pm Joe B:

snore, I think you want MORE!
Avatar 1:16pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

  1:16pm John L.:

  1:16pm laura spike:

Avatar 1:19pm KP:

Avatar 1:20pm KP:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:22pm KevinfromBayRidge:

Avatar 1:22pm Jay/London:

Avatar 1:25pm Jay/London:

hi Joe long time since i cached your show
  1:25pm Laura Spike:

The thing to do is to crank up WFMU until the driller can't hear the drill anymore. He'll thank you someday.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:27pm Jason:

Thanks for the Clone Defects. Very sad to hear about Fast Eddie.
  1:28pm John L.:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:32pm Ken From Hyde Park:

@John - Backstage Productions has Kurt Vile next week. bspkingston.com...
Avatar 1:32pm KP:

I might add im very upset to have moved to NYC and still not be able to get WFMU over air.
Avatar 1:34pm Jay/London:

yeah KP only just got in a goods train was derailed on my line
  1:37pm John L.:

Yeah, Ken. I really want to see that show, but I have to be at JFK by 7 AM the next morning. No way to make it from here to there, so I have to spend the night in NYC. Maybe I can catch the John Paul Keith show at the Bowery Electric, though.
  1:44pm Listener Martin:

Considering everyone you pass everywhere is listening to music on earbuds and downloading is the way most music seems to be 'sold', makes perfect sense to master that way.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:45pm Stevel:

Buleeeed for meee!
Avatar 1:57pm MissV:

Almost forgot to tune in!
Avatar 2:08pm Whosondephone:

Some great vocal reverbs all of the sudden.
Avatar 2:56pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:
