Order and disorder in a freeform haze of terribly-played guitars, shorted-out electronics, found audio detritus, strange sounds from strange lands all around. Psych-punk-junk, collage, even pop. Lots of in-studio live performances to boot.

I'm going to have to spend more than a week without seeing a live show, which is cruel and unusual for this time of year

- & then a massive Youth demographic first emerging
- & PostWar - the conceit that Pop & Art could meet somehow
...like Dylan's friend Bobbie Neuwrith (sp??) saying in 'No Direction Home' documentary they would ask 'Should we see Ornette tonight?' - 'Well - has he got anything to *say*?!?' Who cares if anyone is saying anything *now*?
- Good stuff is happening always - but who hears it now - ?! A few thousand Anti-Commercial Media FreeForm FMUheads ?!?
- & the 'Business Model' of the entire Music Industry is totally up in the air, of course...

And Cajmere and Green Velvet came out then, too.
And post-60s country leaves out Dolly's "Jolene" and Willie Nelson's "Red-Headed Stranger".

- FMU alone blows the cover off 'no good music now' - but how Popular is it?
...I think the rate of release in new media makes a difference too - it's ever more sensationalistic & disposable, not even intended to last - & yes, I'm old enuff we used to get high & have the time & attention to listen to whole Albums & things - altho' are more glued to Devices than ever, I suppose...

BT, you have to DL the Radio Soulwax app. They have an amazing house show that features Bang The Box and other goodies. The record labels come to life and dance.
