P-90:

It's been years and years since I heard that Kennedy song, it feels like a perfect, Dylanesgue snapshot of that moment in time. @Lou: Bravo!
Also: although thoroughly steeped in Yes lore, I have never heard any details of how Steve Howe and Rick Wakeman wound up playing on Lou's first solo album.
It probably wasn't a favor for Ahmet Ertegun, RCA wasn't his label. Since they both were involved, Yes manager Brian Lane probably set it up. Anyone know any more? Just askin'...
Avatar 4:44pm
Kurt Gottschalk:

the 50th anniversary of the jfk assassination is just around the corner - another excuse to play the song.

Thanks, Ted. "Ocean" in the early set and "Street Hassle" in this last -- Coplandesque! -- so outstanding. (I napped a lot during the 2nd set, but it was Lou lullabying me in the arms of Morpheus. :)
  4:52pm
P-90:

@Kurt G.: Yeah, this was the perfect time to revisit that song, the media are abuzz about the 50th anniversary. Note to self: check out WFMU on the 22nd...
