Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:06pm Doug Schulkind:

I gotta go pick up the pooch from Camp Bow Wow. (And no, silly, that is NOT the nickname Keith Richard gave his trousers!)
Avatar 2:07pm L Ketchum Esq:

Matt, i'm here in case you wanted an attorney present.
  2:08pm Hackensack Slim:

Happy 70th, Keef
Avatar 2:08pm duke:

Happy birthday Keef

I'm here and I'm happy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:09pm Uncle Michael:

Just don't make me run.
Avatar 2:12pm Mary Wing:

Happy birthday KEEF, and happy holidays to the OTHER Glimmer Twins: Matt & Ted!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:12pm Uncle Michael:

GODDAMIT! I told you guys!
Avatar 2:15pm Holly in NC:

KEEF! I can't stay, but I've already clicky-starrred this entire show :-) Have a great afternoon everyone, I'll be here in spirit!

Happy Holidays Brian Jones
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:18pm Uncle Michael:

Brian's down in the pool.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:19pm Amanda:

I have been zinged and I love it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:20pm Uncle Michael:

The Rickles defense.
Avatar 2:21pm Dominick:

We don't care if you hound we
Avatar 2:24pm still b/p:

I love that Keith sent a message to Etta James insisting SHE had to be clean if she was going to accept the invitation to tour with Stones.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:28pm SeanG:

I love that first Keith solo album!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:29pm Uncle Michael:

Keith still has it on guitar? Did you look at clips from the last tour?
  2:32pm John Funke:

"This is Stones Talk Radio, you're on the air." xo!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:38pm MattBelow:

This is a rather cool, calm and collected show thus far lads
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:45pm Doug Schulkind:

I keep meaning to read his autobio. By all accounts it is fabulous.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:46pm Uncle Michael:

The Genuine Black Box is the shit.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:48pm Parq:

To certain persons of a certain age -- that is, those who were white suburban teenagers in the early 70s just starting to learn to play rock guitar -- the grove of "Jumpin' Jack Flash" is one of the most iconic guitar riffs ever. Ever.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:48pm fleep:

Cool alternate.
  2:49pm Tony:

KR was lost in space through a lot of 2006-2007, often completely losing it. But he did some awesome stuff in 2013 with only occasional clams.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:50pm Uncle Michael:

Huh. My takeaway is that his gnarled hands won't even finger the chords anymore.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:53pm Artie:

In a stroke of convenient inevitability his fingers are gnarled into the exact shapes of the chords. He can't use silverware, or go to the bathroom unaided, but he can still play Jumpin' Jack Flash without hindrance.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:55pm Uncle Michael:

A stroke would explain a lot.
Avatar 2:56pm still b/p:

If Judy Garland has lived another handful of years, she mighta partied somewhere with the boys in the 70's.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:58pm Doug Schulkind:

The terrific boot "Acoustic Motherfuckers" is available here (use the Deposit Files link): vivalesbootlegs.blogspot.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:00pm Uncle Michael:

I saw all three of my Stones shows in '81.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:02pm Doug Schulkind:

I saw them in '81, too. Richfield Coliseum outside of Cleveland. Etta James opened!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:03pm Uncle Michael:

I had no such luck. I got Thorogood. And in Boulder Thorogood and Heart...but not together.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:05pm Uncle Michael:

We did get Mick Taylor sitting in, in Kansas City.
Avatar 3:11pm Dominick:

Only once, MSG in '72. Stevie Wonder opened
Avatar 3:16pm Mailman Tom:

My favorite Rolling Stones song is "If You Can't Rock Me", which should have been a #1 song on the charts !
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:25pm Uncle Michael:

So glad we get to hear the track.
  3:29pm Billy Miller:

We were at that Rockpile show that Nick Lowe's talking about! It was funny, weird and very cool all at once. And Anita Pallenberg was sitting at the other end of our table! ha!
Avatar 3:36pm Holly in NC:

@Doug - I have an .epub version of 'Life', which I can send you later - or you (and everyone else!) can dl from my calibre folder on slsk.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:40pm Doug Schulkind:

Thanks Holly! You are a sweet❤. My braincells are slsk averse, I am sorry to say.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:46pm Uncle Michael:

Thanks for that link earlier, Doug.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:51pm Doug Schulkind:

My plej, UM! "Crying, Waiting, Hoping" is in the queue for tomorrow morning.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:53pm Uncle Michael:

These two box sets look interesting:

Avatar 3:55pm Holly in NC:

@Doug {sigh} ;-) Check your email! xo
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:58pm Doug Schulkind:

@H in NC
You're the best.
Avatar 4:01pm northguineahills:

Thanks Matt! Great tribute!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:01pm Uncle Michael:

Gated reverb is due for a reassessment.
Avatar 4:02pm ken in denver:

Charlie Watts (DOB June 2, 1941) should definitely have a tribute on Give the Drummer Some radio.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:12pm Uncle Michael:

The whole Claudine thing is just so weird and wonderful.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:20pm Uncle Michael:

"bonus track" = sediment
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:23pm Uncle Michael:

When I listened to the deluxe edition of Exile, as interesting as it all is to hear, there's not one outtake that I think should have bumped anything off the original release.
Avatar 4:30pm ken in denver:

A lot of the tracks on the I Gave You Diamonds bootleg beat the official versions. www.guitars101.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:30pm Uncle Michael:

The man can't bust our music, man.
Avatar 4:31pm Joe McG:

Thanks for playing "We Had It All"!
Avatar 4:38pm ken in denver:

... Especially the vocals turned instrumentals, like Let It Loose and Bent Green Needles.
Avatar 4:47pm Dominick:

Wow is that off center!
  4:53pm Ralph & Susan (UK):

thanks for a great show
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:55pm Uncle Michael:

Loved the show. Thanks guys. I heckle because I love too much.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:58pm Doug Schulkind:

Great show, gents!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:07pm Matt F:
