Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:11pm common:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:14pm coe:

Avatar 12:16pm V Priceless:

A FUN '14 to ya, DK!! Agreed! 2014 = Even MORE Rock & Roll!! Get outta Dodge before the blizzid kicks in!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:18pm Stevel:

I, for one, would not prefer to have my head placed into a milk bottle.
Avatar 12:20pm InBrkly:

I went to an Angry Samoans reunion show a couple of years ago. It was cute. All lot of people brought their families. There were little kids running around the hall and they knew all the words to the songs! At one point metal mike asked a kid on stage and maybe 3 or 4 jumped up too and they all started singing Angry Samoan songs.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:22pm Stevel:

InBrkly: Please tell me they all sang "They Saved Hitler's Cock."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:24pm coe:

Voice kind of reminds me of Tod A from CopShootCop
Avatar 12:25pm Luna:

VOIVOD! Hello! Cheers to 2014 and more of the Fun Machine...woooo!
Avatar 12:30pm KP:

Avatar 12:30pm Luna:

Ooooh, why not play some Cop Shoot Cop
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:32pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Happy New Year, Diane (and Zorro, of course). Thanks for being so nice to us.
Avatar 12:32pm InBrkly:

Stevel: that was in their set but I don't remember now what the kids sang. They didn't hold back for the kids though: G.G. Elvis opened.
Avatar 12:35pm Chris from DC:

Yep, my favorite Adolescents.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:44pm Mike Sin:

I am really enjoying the Golden Void album on Thrill Jockey.

Happy new year, Diane!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:46pm SeanG:

I'm diggin this groove because it's groovy.
Avatar 12:46pm Sean D. Daily:

Metal New Year, Diane! May 2014 be the hardest, blackest, most brutal year everrrrrrrrr.
Avatar 12:49pm InBrkly:

hah I kinda liked the slower speed. Started out sounding like Earth.
  12:50pm dinatekno:

Diane - you are seriously killing it today! Happy New Year's everyone!
Avatar 12:50pm Sean D. Daily:

By the way, you can just leave this Stink Bugs song on repeat today, Diane. It'd be the easiest show you ever did.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:51pm paul b:

When you were briefly playing this Stinkbugs song at the wrong speed it sounded like mid-period My Bloody Valentine
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:57pm Tome:

Hope you folks here in the fun machine had a good one too ! .. oo oo Circle Jerks !!
  1:09pm ScottC:

I worked security at an Adolescents' show ( '81? 10th Street Hall in SF) and they actually apologized for Amoeba being a hit - and then played it under a hail of thrown objects…
Avatar 1:17pm Luna:

Man, I haven't listened to Thin White Rope in ages.
Avatar 1:23pm Luna:

Will you be playing some AMC?
Avatar 1:30pm herb.nyc:

speaking of AMC, i have my MARK EITZEL pin on! excellent excellent interview, thank you diane. happy newark to all!
Avatar 1:32pm cookie sheet:

Culturcide does sound original but it would take a seasoned ear to find it. Thanks
Avatar 1:33pm Luna:

I heart Eitzel.
Avatar 1:38pm herb.nyc:

we'll turn this into an EITZEL forum (for the moment): in the AMC bio "wish the world away" (title?), it said that JILL SOBULE saved his life (figuratively speaking). when i saw jill at a show, i asked her about this. she: "really? i just taught him to dance." hmmm.
  1:39pm Danny Gromfin:

please tell Lisa's she's playing one of my FAV Redd Kross songs!
Avatar 1:41pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

PEOPLE. People. Maah people.
Avatar 1:42pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

First legit day at ofc since before xmas. Headphones deployed. All good.
Avatar 1:42pm herb.nyc:

i learned of CULTURCIDE & their song "(we're an) industrial band", via JACK RABID / THE BIG TAKEOVER.
Avatar 1:46pm herb.nyc:

oh come on, the picture of LISA FANCHER is not "ewwww".
Avatar 1:47pm scalped alive:

Very nice photo-screen work. Rock on KMCY 4-color.
Avatar 1:52pm I Hate People:

The idea you spoke of earlier about "What would the culture look like without the Circle Jerks" is a valid consideration. That period of music and its greater effect on culture is monumental.
  1:56pm ScottC:

BIG Compulsion fan!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:58pm dale:

loving this show and lisa's picks. oh to be young again when having enough money for gas to go see a show and have a couple of beers was all that mattered
Avatar 2:03pm Juke Joint Jonny:

Too late Randoms. Nothing in New York left to get rid of.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:04pm Stevel:

I've been in and out on the interview. Any thoughts on the Alley Cats? One of the tightest acts I've ever seen, even when completely wasted!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:10pm dale:

phil lynott vibes! wonder if jimmy page is on this mickey finn....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:10pm Guido (Cologne):

reminds me on "I'm Not Your Stepping Stone" by the Flies (UK 60ies)
  2:13pm Betty:

Lisa's record collection is literally all over the place.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:28pm Rich in Washington:

This is awesome! Always dug the cool releases on Frontier!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:28pm Guido (Cologne):

Le Butcherettes:
featuring Omar Rodriguez Lopez
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:29pm dale:

my car is a 2002 and it came with a factory cassette. bring it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:31pm Guido (Cologne):

The kids want things to become complicated again in order to appreciate the sdtuff again. My guess. I used to be in the tape trade thing but never expected the comeback.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:40pm Guido (Cologne):

Avatar 2:47pm InBrkly:

Did Gilbert Hernandez do the artwork for the anniversary flyer? It has that archie comic quality.
  2:49pm Betty:

That 30th anniversary poster was done by Jaime Hernandez. Gilbert has done stuff for Frontier, too, like an Adolescents poster. Good eye!
Avatar 2:50pm InBrkly:

  2:53pm Betty:

Great show Diane and Lisa!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:57pm Mike East:
