But I do remember when Van Halen was a local band that stuck flyers for their shows under your windshield wipers in Hollywood parking lots.

I didn' t see them myself but they played clubs like the Troubador on the Sunset Strip on long bills of similar bands. Opened once for Odin, maybe. Had friends more into that scene than I was... But I do remember when Van Halen was a local band that stuck flyers for their shows under your windshield wipers in Hollywood parking lots.

Oh, and the retooled Fleetwood reminded me of an old late-70s gag that involved playing the LP track of Atlanta Rhythm Section's "Imaginary Lover" at 45 and noting that the results sounded like a semi-uptempo cover by Stevie Nicks.
