Listener comments!
9:03am : Hola y'all!9:03am : Hey, Bob! Love the show! I request something from The Beach Boys' Surf's Up, or Razzmatazz by John Travolta.9:04am : hey Bob...mornin. Actually just making More Coffee...9:04am : So what you're saying is that I need to buy this Juana Molina record, right, Bob?9:09am : Good morning, everybody! Happy February!9:09am : Hmmm...I wonder if the other 22 letters are this interesting.9:10am : febulous the first!9:11am : hey wendy. junctionfromagerie.com🥁 9:12am : Good Morning everyone. Ahhh, got my Image, Part 0ne fix! & soo much more.9:16am : Another perfect day!9:17am : Hullo Wendy my fellow Vt-NHite ! Good to see you.
...I gotta go be late for work...man I'll bet that's good cheese !...9:18am : work work..oh sorry RR! have fun.....at least your gig sounds cool wish I had a fun job as such.... wow jr. walker alright9:19am : Hey glenn, thanks! But the silly people didn't provide the actual town/province/country where their store is located, just a street address. That said, I've been interested in Canadian artisan-made cheese for many years. There's no good supply chain getting them south of the border, though. waah.9:19am : Shotgun?9:20am : well, it's in toronto, just around the corner from me.9:21am : yer Brattleboro shop looks keen too...I was told to cut down on real cheese though...Diabetic etc. oof.9:22am : You could do a set of tunes that are called "Road Runner" -- Junior Walker, Bo Diddley, Jonathan Richman...9:22am : glenn, oh nice! it's good to have those things in one's neighborhood.9:23am : i cannot believe Brattleboro didn't have a dedicated cheese shop/cafe. That is astounding. I like Cabot ok....9:23am : That Blood on the Saddle track was welcome. Saw them at the Court Tavern in New Brunswick.9:24am : LovecraftDude, thanks! But it is no more. I closed my shop last month. Waah. Wait, I'm no doctor, but I don't understand why a diabetic needs to cut down on cheese. There's nothing in it to mess with one's insulin. In fact, it's a good source of protein and no carbohydrates!9:25am : Type 2...just carbs..oh has no carbs..ok. well, was told to cut down on cholesterol and fats etc. as well. Sorry you had to shut down that sucks.9:26am : LovecraftDude, you know Brattleboro? I'm always surprised when someone does. We're such a wee town. A nice town, but a tiny one. Anyway, yeah, health stuff can be so confusing. Sorry you are illin'. And thanks for that. Yes, it does suck I had to close, but I'll do it again in some other town, where the economy is better, and when I have more start-up/floating capital. Meanwhile, I look for a job...9:27am : I eat a lot of that vegan cheese stuff but MD sez watch out for that too...egads. and it's not the same9:28am : I know of Brattleboro...I've been to other places in Vermont over the years, and N.H.....mainly I know RI Providence, and Salem and Marblehead MA. etc. I had friends in Nashua for years but they later relocated to New Mexico. Is Cabot any good? I guess it's more like mass production.9:28am : LD88, vegan cheese is an abomination. You'd do better to eat very small amounts of very good cheese than you would do messin' with that fake shit. It's so overly processed.9:29am : I have good pals in RI and Smithfield and the economy is always like, shaky there, for years and years....my friend was laid off his accounting job for 3 yrs until last year....bad news and he's near Providence9:29am : umm...yeah processed is bad. I know that.9:30am : LD88, Cabot is great. It's made in larger quantities than, say, Jasper Hill, but it's a dairy cooperative, it's a small facility, they support New England dairies, and their cheese -- even their supermarket cheese -- is very nice and priced in reach of most people. I always have a few 8-oz bricks of it in my fridge!9:30am : Ha! Mebbe so, Mike East. Good stuff. Mornin' JJ, PsAJC & LCD.
BB9:31am : LD88, sorry. I just get my cheesemonger undies in a knot when I read someone has to eat vegan cheese. It makes me sad. :-(
I meant no offense. You gotta take care of yourself, right?9:31am : Anyway, I feel like we're hijacking the page. Email?9:32am : yeah Cabot always seems solid enough and quality at least. I buy it from time to time. Just gotta eat smaller amounts per meal I guess. Anyhoo.....good luck restarting der biz, a small biz is not easy. I'm in Port Washington LI they can't even float a record shop here anymore. nothing. Nah it's ok the Vegan is processed....trying to cut down on that too.9:32am : Wendy...it's ok...good chatting..back to regular programming!9:33am : I was admonished for over yakking last night...9:33am : Likewise! Take care, LD88. :-)9:33am : Good morning everyone! Another perfect start to a lovely Saturday morning. Thanks be to Bob! :-)9:33am : yep Wendy! good chatting. Best to you!!9:34am : gonna be 51 F. here Sunday...alrightt9:35am : Summer Breeze....make me feel fyne9:37am : I liked The Long Ryders and The Raunch Hands9:44am : Found a Red Camp LP called "Camp Has a Ball" in my grandmother's collection years ago.9:44am : No drums?9:45am : Acid folk9:48am : Drums are for parades9:54am : The piece from The Hired Hand was exactly what I needed. Thank you for playing it.9:57am : I love the Jon Brion song. One of the best movie soundtracks.10:06am : Bob... Care to share some of your mixed feelings re Dino V.?10:09am : Dino Valenti with an I, real name Chet Powers.10:11am : @wendydelformaggio hey, i met with happy jawbone family band yesterday (here in Tours, France) and then first heard of brattleboro. just sayin'. funny.10:15am : Love the first Little Feat album.10:20am : Thanks for more mono Miles Bob. What's your take vs. the stereo? Have all those, but considering the box too.
Also nice early Feat.10:26am : that made me wonder 'whatever became of.....' who knew gary lewis would end up living in rochester ny?
www.examiner.com...10:28am : Old Seals and Crofts ... nice!10:29am : Very nice program DJ Bob Brainen's. You are a master.10:49am : This Left Banke song is beautiful.10:51am : Excellent show this morning, BobB !8:23pm : Hey Bob, I'm enjoying your show-I just got that Beatles BBC 2 cd and especially intrigued by that bit with 'I Feel Fine'. Loved the Steeleye Span (no drums?) and Innocence Mission as well Jon Brion.8:47pm : I forgot about Square Pegs TV show and the Waitresses doing the theme. The show has Sarah Jessica Parker playing the central character and Tracy Nelson (Ricky's daughter) playing the part as an airhead valley girl.
