Avatar 8:06pm Mayuko:

I've looked forward to all the stories about the moon people and their eating behaviors tonight.
  8:07pm LovecraftDude888:

I'm doing my best to avoid The Humongous Bowl and reading up on my Nietzsche....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:12pm Daniel Blumin:

Thanks for joining in, Mayuko and Lovecraft! May the Super Bowel live long and prosper... Somewhere a few miles hence! Welcome on board ya'll!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:12pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...I must be SuperStoopid to have missed the beginning - or maybe the transition from Gaylord's was just that smoooth...
  8:13pm LovecraftDude888:

was smoother than an ice cold Yoohoo
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:15pm Daniel Blumin:

Stay tuned for Reinaldo Laddaga live in-studio in about 15!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:16pm Ike:

Hello hello!
  8:18pm LovecraftDude888:

hey RR: read that supp. Nietzsche was anti-revolution and hated anarchists and such...like, why? Wasn't he one? How ironical!
  8:22pm ms_a:

Good evening Daniel. I'm very grateful for your show today as it has cured my headache as well as being an excellent program.
  8:22pm P-90:

こんばんわ !
Good Evening, lady and gentlemen:
Mayuko-san, LcD888-san, RevoRabbit-san Ike-san,
and our honored and gracious host, Brumin-san!
  8:23pm P-90:

-sorry, Blumin-san
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:25pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- wull - in many ways - N is regarded as the 1st of the Modern Existentialists - no? - & their relation to 20th Cent. Politrix has been as fraught & highly charged as you'd expect it to be (remember that Sartre actually served in the Resistance, por favor); perhaps N saw the Radicals as short-sighted - not really changing as much as they thot - or doomed to Failure anyhow. Certainly , the Nazis claiming N is as absurd as their narrow & fallacious appropriations of Ancient Runes or Racial Science...Anyhow - Nietzsche seems as Poetical as he is Polemical - & ended up nutty: that is - hard to get an absolute bead on...
  8:25pm P-90:

-and Greetings to ms_a-san as well!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:25pm Daniel Blumin:

Hi Hi, Ike! ms_a, a lovely headache-free evening to you! Hallo p-90! At least you didn't say Bloomin!
  8:26pm Jacques B. Nimble:

Hail Hail Herr Blumin
  8:27pm LovecraftDude888:

ha, you pegged it RR! nuff said...I read elsewhere that in fact he was saying that revolution in and of itself will not necessarily be a panacea and has the chance to always go horribly awry..of course he's correct. I guess that's what he was getting at.
  8:27pm P-90:

-it's a little problem that comes up when mixing Japanese with English. I beg you pardon, Daniel!
  8:29pm LovecraftDude888:

oh yeah and i finally read what happened with N. it was a truly evil bastardizing of N's writings and philosophy by a relative in collab. with the Nazis and that's how N. got associated with Hitler and all that...that figures. I'd forgotten or didn't know that part of the story. People still think he was a Nazi...so sad.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:29pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- seems quite similar to John Lennon's conclusions...
  8:30pm P-90:

@JBN: Welcome to the Freeform Counter-Super Bowl!
How is Mrs. Nimble tonight?
  8:31pm LovecraftDude888:

yep, I'm sure John knew or read a good deal of N. I can't imagine he didn't! But was reading some very revelatory stuff on N. earlier....I"m not even sure that's what didn't happen with Heidegger, unless he in fact WAS a Nazi, which is possible.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:31pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Nietzsche wouldn't have lasted a minute w/ the Nazis & would've hated them as intensely as any sensitive, intelligent or self-determined person should or would...Wagner, on the other hand...
  8:32pm LovecraftDude888:

Looks like the Seahawks are the UberMenschen thus far, what a mowing down....25-0? oof, Colorado.....Wagner...ah he's ok, boring to me. Bombastic and boring. The Norse mythology interests me a lot more though....
  8:33pm LovecraftDude888:

28-0 sorry. oh myyy
  8:33pm LovecraftDude888:

I just hope N. was wrong on recurrence of the world....I don't want to relive Jr. high school again!
  8:35pm LovecraftDude888:

I gotta say I'm really upset about Philip Seymour Hoffman, and that's all I'm gonna say about that for the time being.... I'm gonna try to shut up and enjoy this show and stay quiescent and Zen
  8:37pm P-90:

@RevRab: Read a little more of N's POV in N's own words, you'll see that he was far from revolutionary or anarchist. (anti-Christ, maybe)
May I humbly suggest that we might move on to sunnier, less........Gothic topics? Tonight's the Big Night, Guys! America is celebrating

What IS America celebrating tonight, anyway? Riddle me that, Batman! ...or "Batmen"
Avatar 8:38pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

  8:40pm P-90:

29-0? woah
  8:40pm LovecraftDude888:

we are celebrating Humongous Bowl....cheerleaders....beer..food...football and big sweaty guys beating the living shite out of each other to score points!
  8:41pm LovecraftDude888:

actually I just read that students claimed that privately Heidegger hated the Nazis as they went on.....but he was afraid for his life I'm sure....I guess. Who knows.
  8:42pm P-90:

And a big clicky-star right back atcha, Rev. T-Druid
We got both "Rev"s in the house, anything can happen
  8:44pm P-90:

Seattle! Seattle! Fuck you Denver! 29-0! USA! USA! USA!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:51pm Ike:

I'm no sports expert, but they haven't had a SB blowout in years, have they? Used to be VERY common. I figured they were massaging rules and brackets (?) and doing everything short of rigging the games to prevent SB blowouts because of the ad money and ratings on the line.
  8:52pm LovecraftDude888:

things that a mutant needs to know are....read more Lovecraft and Machen, and where can he get some good corned beef?
  8:53pm P-90:

@Ike: I know what you mean, there have been some famously boring Super Bowls. And it HAS become such a mad-huge cash cow
  8:54pm P-90:

LcD: Katz'z on LES
  8:55pm LovecraftDude888:

where is Jimmy the Greek when we don't really want him but need him? Alas he left the stadium. P-90: thanks! yep katzs would be the place....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:57pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Flea was wearing more then just a sock, so that didn't meet expectations. FCC lawyers probably made sure of that.

I am with thee in spirit, my son

  9:08pm P-90:

@Rab: You just went full circle, N himself occupies the boundary of Exi and Mysticism
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:09pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- we were actually on-topic - by accident maybe...
  9:11pm P-90:

@fleep: why does your cloaca always have to come into it?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:13pm Ken From Hyde Park:

  9:40pm P-90:

@Droll: are you sure it didn't just get real quiet over there because the game seemed to be over and they started the post-game sex orgy early?
  9:40pm LovecraftDude888:

P-90 total decimation/Droll: at least it ended, we hope
  9:40pm LovecraftDude888:

Sì, c'est vrai, Ligeti è un dio
Avatar 9:45pm Droll:

I don't mind if loud men want to celebrate "manhood", but I'm even less interested in their sex orgy than their sporting event.

it does seem like a bit of a sausage fest, all things considered. maybe it's opposite day, and the goils are watching the match.
  9:51pm LovecraftDude888:

just play The Tubes Sports Fans and all will be ok
Avatar 9:52pm JakeGould:

Seriously, I hate sports worship. Watch games casually. And only briefly checked in on this one as to was happening. And yes, it’s a sausage fest. No shit.

"Sadie Hawkins Bowl" : yet another potential marketing goldmine
Avatar 9:53pm Mayuko:

  9:54pm LovecraftDude888:

Avatar 10:01pm JakeGould:

Well, I genuinely like watching the game. But the whole chest pumping shit. Enough.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:53pm Daniel Blumin:

No apologies necessary, P-90! I was talking about my absentee landlordism on the comments page rather than the theme of the evening. No way were we going to avoid the Super Bowel shenanigans! Thanks fer tuning in, my Sporties! Gracias, Karina, 12539, and the archive mutants as well!
