Hello hello!
  8:18pm
LovecraftDude888:

hey RR: read that supp. Nietzsche was anti-revolution and hated anarchists and such...like, why? Wasn't he one? How ironical!
  8:22pm
ms_a:

Good evening Daniel. I'm very grateful for your show today as it has cured my headache as well as being an excellent program.

こんばんわ !
Good Evening, lady and gentlemen:

-sorry, Blumin-san
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:25pm
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- wull - in many ways - N is regarded as the 1st of the Modern Existentialists - no? - & their relation to 20th Cent. Politrix has been as fraught & highly charged as you'd expect it to be (remember that Sartre actually served in the Resistance, por favor); perhaps N saw the Radicals as short-sighted - not really changing as much as they thot - or doomed to Failure anyhow. Certainly , the Nazis claiming N is as absurd as their narrow & fallacious appropriations of Ancient Runes or Racial Science...Anyhow - Nietzsche seems as Poetical as he is Polemical - & ended up nutty: that is - hard to get an absolute bead on...
  8:25pm
P-90:

-and Greetings to ms_a-san as well!

Hi Hi, Ike! ms_a, a lovely headache-free evening to you! Hallo p-90! At least you didn't say Bloomin!
  8:26pm
Jacques B. Nimble:

Hail Hail Herr Blumin
  8:27pm
LovecraftDude888:

ha, you pegged it RR! nuff said...I read elsewhere that in fact he was saying that revolution in and of itself will not necessarily be a panacea and has the chance to always go horribly awry..of course he's correct. I guess that's what he was getting at.
  8:27pm
P-90:

-it's a little problem that comes up when mixing Japanese with English. I beg you pardon, Daniel!
  8:29pm
LovecraftDude888:

oh yeah and i finally read what happened with N. it was a truly evil bastardizing of N's writings and philosophy by a relative in collab. with the Nazis and that's how N. got associated with Hitler and all that...that figures. I'd forgotten or didn't know that part of the story. People still think he was a Nazi...so sad.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:29pm
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- seems quite similar to John Lennon's conclusions...
  8:30pm
P-90:

@JBN: Welcome to the Freeform Counter-Super Bowl!
How is Mrs. Nimble tonight?
  8:31pm
LovecraftDude888:

yep, I'm sure John knew or read a good deal of N. I can't imagine he didn't! But was reading some very revelatory stuff on N. earlier....I"m not even sure that's what didn't happen with Heidegger, unless he in fact WAS a Nazi, which is possible.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:31pm
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Nietzsche wouldn't have lasted a minute w/ the Nazis & would've hated them as intensely as any sensitive, intelligent or self-determined person should or would...Wagner, on the other hand...
  8:32pm
LovecraftDude888:

Looks like the Seahawks are the UberMenschen thus far, what a mowing down....25-0? oof, Colorado.....Wagner...ah he's ok, boring to me. Bombastic and boring. The Norse mythology interests me a lot more though....
  8:33pm
LovecraftDude888:

28-0 sorry. oh myyy
  8:33pm
LovecraftDude888:

I just hope N. was wrong on recurrence of the world....I don't want to relive Jr. high school again!
  8:35pm
LovecraftDude888:

I gotta say I'm really upset about Philip Seymour Hoffman, and that's all I'm gonna say about that for the time being.... I'm gonna try to shut up and enjoy this show and stay quiescent and Zen
  8:37pm
P-90:

@RevRab: Read a little more of N's POV in N's own words, you'll see that he was far from revolutionary or anarchist. (anti-Christ, maybe)
May I humbly suggest that we might move on to sunnier, less........Gothic topics? Tonight's the Big Night, Guys! America is celebrating

What IS America celebrating tonight, anyway? Riddle me that, Batman! ...or "Batmen"

I'm no sports expert, but they haven't had a SB blowout in years, have they? Used to be VERY common. I figured they were massaging rules and brackets (?) and doing everything short of rigging the games to prevent SB blowouts because of the ad money and ratings on the line.
