Never saw any of those episodes with Quatro, myself. Just thought it was cool at the time that a GURL could rock hard and wear all those tough rags. I mean, I had a sheltered youth, but it WAS, what, '73-'74.
  12:14pm
Julia:

Well, Jake, that's not true for me. I also really dig Joan Jett.

Great show as always Todd. I always enjoy your fill-ins. Ralph Kiner will be missed greatly. Saw him up in Cooperstown for the induction ceremony this past summer. He was having a tough time but was still very friendly. I had forgotten about the Fran Healy comment. Maybe Fran Healy wasn't the best (even though he was nominated for the Ford Frick Award several years ago, the same year as Ralph) but I will always think well of him. Several years ago my son and I were at a Mets Phillies game in Philly. After the game we were hanging out near the players entrance when Fran came up to us, introduced himself and starting talking about baseball with us. Then he introduced us to Bob Murphy who was very short and very cranky. he then introduced us to several ballplayers. My son got a lot of autographs that night. Fran was super friendly and super nice.
