Street interviews, listener call-ins, vinyl gluttery, sporadic normalcy, original floperas and fiktion, blatant talking over songs, politix, tenderness, and a vague undercurrent of angst. Right up your alley!

I just was about to say about this guy from Judas Priest ... his outfit was much too obvious ...wasn't ii? No need for coming out .... though in the Metal world maybe noone wanted it to be true ? ... i cannot judge ... he#s considered to be one of the earliest to be openly gay ...

I don't remember what we called the shoegaze bands when they were big. Just fuzzy bands, I guess. Didn't hit upon the term shoegaze until later, but loved that sound.

Avatar 7:06pm
dk50b:

Clay, depending what you call "rock" the guitar free teen lets's party/have sex/break up top 40 of years past finally has some songs with guitars or music that ain't pop. Say what you will about Imagine Dragons, Of Monsters and Men. Capital Cities, AWOLNATION, American Authors, Bastille and many others, but it's the most diverse top 40 in years. It's not Pantera or Pratt, but even hair bands had to do sappy power ballads to cash in. Thanks to commercial radio's format rigidity, the days of 70s all over the map top 40 will never return.
