Clay Pidgeon
No interviews this week. No story. It's a MID. A Musically Intensive Dusty. 3 flea market finds, two from the pc*, and 5 I.S.D.'s**. Just the thing, but as you'll hear, early on I was nervous, fumbling, uncomfortable, ... and then a settling in took place, and even an unexpected (yet so intentional) Fabio Fly-By™! . It got more fun as the time wore on.

How about THIS. 153 AccuKomments. Wow. - The Arbies are back up,

The mood is so fantastic.

Intro with Fabio of Strength Through Failure
I already had a copy of this 5-song 12". "It might be valuable. I could Ebay it!" That's what I thought, but I probably never will, and why would I? This is a great song. Bowie, Gary Numan, Brian Ferry, Kraftwerk, with American guitar chords, and those drums. All rolled up into one 1982 Philly joint. Ha! There's my review.

Never Had Another Big One
That's Michelle LeGrande humming. I don't know why I turned him down so low it's almost inaudible .... just waiting for that BTO to start - and it took forever.
Then I had to bend way over to see the song title as it spun on the turntable because I forgot the name of it and it took ... forever, Flop sweat was beginning to bead.
Bachman Turner Overdrive  Find Out About Love (Listen: Pop-up)   Favoriting Head On  Mercury  1975  LP  12:34 ... here's a glimpse og the elusive Brave Belt. Transitional band between The Guess Who and BTO. I like this song the more I hear it. Find out about love ... indeed.

Used to work for a music mercy co in SF in the early 90's. One day waiting on a package with new Primus art to be delivered. Guy walks in gives me the package. I thought he was a roadie. We're talking about the band. I ask " so how long you been working for the band?" He says "I'm the guitar player". It was a different time. Much more laid back...

There was some band in SF in the 90s, can't remember the name. It was headed by this guy called the Donut King, who wore a big Jack in the Box type mask, and they got progressively banned from every venue because their show included launching cream donuts into the audience from tennis-ball launchers, and other food items. Anyone? Been driving me crazy.
