The Blues Brothers movie is on VH1 Classic channel. The big chase scene at the end is coming up. "Three orange whips!"
  10:06pm
nate:

when I think of popular 90s music, it brings back some mixed emotions from working at tower records... lots of bands like collective soul and sublime
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:07pm
tomasz.:

The Electric Eels! amazing! they shared a couple of members with The Styrenes, who also did a version of this. the latter are also responsible for my actual favourite song of all time
  10:09pm
Ahmad:

Then there was the even more atrocious 90's pop like Gin Blossoms and Candle Box.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:10pm

Blues Brothers! Definitely need to rewatch.

It appears we had a stoner instrumental part of the show. Cherish it!
  11:13pm
JakeGould:

Since Ken from Hyde Park is the only one to mention it: What’s the animation this week? A cat-schmo trying to close the car door? Or push a nail in?
Avatar 11:13pm
Jeezy:

Wotta week. I had a brutal breakup that left me heartbroken even though it was my own stupid dishonest fault. This poptastic-ness is easing the bitter pain!

Sorry Jeezy. Never any fun.

Indeed. Thanks Mariano.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:20pm

Though it's obvious to me now that you say it, I never thought of Here's Where the Story Ends as a breakup song, and I went out and bought the damn thing when it came out.

I like Jeff Starch. He’s live Dave Emory. But for 1 hour each week he tells us about starches. Corn starch. Flour starch. Hidden dietary starch sources.
  11:31pm
tomasz.:

oh, i just love them. they just seem to get better with every album. in fact it's gotta be about time they did a new one
Avatar 11:32pm
listener mark:

@JakeGould The cheese that sticks to the top of an empty pizza box? That's the best part!
  11:34pm
JakeGould:

Yeah, my favorite starch is when I reheat pizza in a metal pan and some of the cheese rolls off & gets on the metal itself. It’s like a fun cheese stick I never asked for but now own.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:35pm
Ken From Hyde Park:

Just installed new microwave (door broke on old one). Where do I get a sheet of stainless steel decal material to cover the stove? Or hasn't that been invented yet? I can then have a matching kitchen. I'll stick that decal stuff on the cabinets & floor to complete then ensemble!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:35pm
Faye:

that album Fallow is from 1997!!!!
  11:39pm
JakeGould:

Ken, what do you need exactly? Stainless steel decal material to do what exactly?
Avatar 11:41pm
Whooda:

Showing up fashionably late. @Ken Always count on CONTACT
www.amazon.com...

After you cover the floor, appliances, walls and counters covered place a couple of large plush stuffed rat toys behind the stove for a classic New York kitchen feel.
  11:42pm
JakeGould:

Whooda! I miss your WD-40 avatar.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:46pm
Faye:

whoa Whooda that was you?? you were WD-40?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:46pm
Ken From Hyde Park:

Over the years, I've replaced the dishwasher, fridge and now the microwave and they're all stainless steel finish. The stove is off-white and doesn't match.

@Whooda - Thanks for the Amazon link. An alternative for me might be to get a can of silver spray paint to cover the curved parts. The decal stuff is good for large flat surfaces. I could also search for some kind of heat-shrink material with a steel finish.
Avatar 11:46pm
Whooda:

@Jake Anything would be better than this Cross Stitch avatar. Am I right?
  11:48pm
JakeGould:

@Faye: Check Whooda’s avatars. He was WD-40/Duct Tape!

Also this Boonlorm is pretty good & over here: boonlorm.bandcamp.com...
