Listener comments!

Avatar 2:55pm kat330:

Wow, didn't know the comments list would already be up and available. Stumbled on it by accident. Anyway, hello Mr. K!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:01pm DCE:

good day, Ira.
Avatar 3:02pm Sem Chumbo:

Love and appreciate a good do do do theme. Hi, Ira, and hello all.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:05pm common:

hello ira, all!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:05pm Ike:

Greetings, humans.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:13pm YETI BOB:

we like this track, reminds us of Plastic People of the Universe
  3:15pm andrew:

ira this rules
Avatar 3:15pm glenn:

i'm sure the reason ira never has comments open is because he's far too modest to want to read how awesome he and yo la tengo are. so i won't say that. i'll just point out that the mets suck balls.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:19pm DCE:

this jams
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:23pm Santos L Halper:

It rules and jams
Avatar 3:25pm glenn:

huh. will there be clay / ira banter?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:27pm adam_nspy:

@glenn ... that would be amazing.
  3:30pm Marie:

Great set. I love this Bud Powell. I've been missing stuff like this. Great set, Irwin!
  3:31pm Marie:

er, I meant IRA!!!!! Sorry
Avatar 3:31pm kat330:

So Ira's short for Irwin?
Avatar 3:32pm kat330:

:) Great drum solo.
Avatar 3:32pm Droll:

Irwin would definitely play the hard bop.
Avatar 3:33pm Sem Chumbo:

You know how to whistle, doncha?
  3:34pm Marie:

No, I can't whistle. I was just learning and I chipped a tooth. Fer real.
Avatar 3:35pm kat330:

@Marie: That's some stiff upper lip you have!
Avatar 3:37pm Sem Chumbo:

@marie: might lead to a distinctive embrochure:)
  3:37pm Marie:

@ Kat330--ha ha ha!
Avatar 3:37pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

weh, missed crazy uncle Conny...
'afternoon, troops.
  3:39pm Marie:

That chipped tooth stimulated another chapter in my long dental drama.
  3:39pm Phil:

Real Life!
Avatar 3:40pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

zee go-go, zee people of my native lands...
Avatar 3:40pm nanantatee:

@ira hahaha! i guess it benefits nj transit for passengers to be more relaxed while they're waiting, and waiting...
  3:42pm Marie:

I am digging the fonk!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:43pm Ike:

Those PATH train screens (run by NBC) with those stupid horoscopes and word jumbles drive me nuts. My eyes are irresistibly drawn to them. What's hilarious is when they malfunction and show old outdated material from canceled/ended shows like Late Night w/Conan O'Brien and The Office.
Avatar 3:43pm kat330:

Funk on FMU and funkiness on GTDR, too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:44pm joe:

This reminds me while at the Kraftwerk show the other night I won't deny there was a very small part of me that was hoping that Afrika Bambata was going to make an appearance. I know it was going to happen but a boy can dream right?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:45pm joe:

sorry I meant wasn't going to happen
Avatar 3:51pm nanantatee:

Pere Ubu was shattering last year at Bowery, hope they come back soon
  3:57pm C.:

love the Cookies!
  4:07pm Deb:

Hey, how 'bout some gay mens' choir music? :) !
Avatar 4:10pm glenn:

it took me six months to learn how to whistle through my fingers. a valuable skill, which i use to this day.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:13pm common:

anyone out there need an assistant of any sort? coffee boy? somethin?
Avatar 4:17pm glenn:

oh oh. bad news, common?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:27pm common:

@glenn: not yet, but i can smell it. so miserable i just want to walk away and never come back. thanks glenn!
Avatar 4:27pm Cheri Pi:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:28pm YETI BOB:

wow are the fall really still making records?
Avatar 4:30pm glenn:

Avatar 4:30pm Kurt Gottschalk:

Avatar 4:31pm glenn:

Hiya Ira, hello ear users.
Avatar 4:48pm kat330:

I don't use my ears; my ears use me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:51pm common:

have a good eve, all!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:52pm adam_nspy:

this show is DEEP — loving it
Avatar 4:54pm kat330:

This song is so deep it's vascular.
Avatar 5:01pm Philo Gristle:

Glad to have caught Lou's "Ride," which remains a top ten Lou fave (specifically, though, in its punchy appearance on his first lp).Hello!
Avatar 5:08pm northguineahills:

Andy Moor is always full of sonic surprises.
Avatar 5:14pm glenn:

albert einstein.
Avatar 5:15pm VealCutlet:

I thought he was Albert Osborne. Super Dave's brother
Avatar 5:16pm glenn:

yeah, their family name is einstein.
Avatar 5:16pm kat330:

The Veinular Rub got rid of the deep vein thrombosis it would appear.
Avatar 5:17pm kat330:

Wouldn't object to something in the vein of "Trombonesis."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:19pm Carmichael:

His dad was a famous borscht belt comedian. Forget his name, but his famous line was "Park yer Carcass!"
Avatar 5:21pm kat330:

Brim Full of Asha
Avatar 5:24pm northguineahills:

This Renaldo is quite nice.
  5:25pm Marie:

NGH, I am in complete agreeance with you.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:27pm Santos L Halper:

Just got this Destroy Date in the mail recently; thanks for the reminder to listen to it...
Avatar 5:33pm northguineahills:

holy crap, I have that animal hospital cd, how did that creep into my collection? (also quite nice).

Ira's direction of the set is really perfectly sinusoidal in its thematic direction. (wave lengths longer then amplitude).
  5:36pm Buck:

The title of this piece makes sense
  5:41pm abs:

What was the track with guitar and player piano just before Bruce Springsteen?
Avatar 5:53pm northguineahills:

Thanks for an amazing set, Ira. This was digdug!
Avatar 5:56pm kat330:

Nice way to wind down.
