Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:45am
Guido from Cologne:

You gonna play the whole symphony?
used to listen to this in my early teens in the dark.
Allways were puzzled what the seagulls do in space ...
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 3:47am

yes one of the few things I haven't played from this album
david from ks:

,,,,good stufff,,,,
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 3:50am

I wish they'd put out an expanded version of this one

I bet they will, eventually
Avatar 3:53am

The Pompeii film version is great.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:59am
Guido from Cologne:

Pink Floyd: a group in crisis at that time (1968).
The Floyds themselves don't like their output from that time very much.

Good example that often the creators are not the most reliable judges about their own creations.

Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 4:31am

Great set

Who was the engineer?
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 4:53am

jon flores. They used EVERY channel on the board
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 4:55am

It is amazing how with two drummers, the drums did not overpower the synths

Well he did a great job.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:56am
Guido from Cologne:

sensible drummers
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:57am
Guido from Cologne:

... or attentive drummers ... no "firewood chopping" as we say ...

damn, they are great. it's odd that the versatile label doesn't push physical product USA way. Recently paid a decent amount for a vinyl ep: jaumet w/Richard Pinhas. Worth every cent, at least!
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 4:58am

every channel on the sound board and that was a "stripped down" version of their setup

re: "every channel on the board, and a stripped-down version of their setup":

Nice interview, too. My favorite was when he mentioned horror film scores made "wiz ze anaylug zinsethaizairs"

On Saturday I had a Zombie at a Tiki bar in Tartu, Estonia and it was NOT bad. Not bad at all. Hellsinki has TWO Tiki bars. Things are looking UP in this part of the world. But tragically I did NOT make it to Otto's Shrunken Head, is the place cool ??

Otto's is perennially cool.

Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 5:52am

I'm a pro-Donovananian! ... hehe ...
Luckily I've got most of it on my shelf!
Rob in Maryland:

Ugh, I remember that commercial too.

i was thinking yesterday on a new show for WFMU: "the Rodman hour", where the open discuss of vivid aspects felt in normal everyday life, can make us stop and seriously consider substantial matters about us in it

So this is the spaced out episode? I loved that show, Lost in Space. So it is fitting that I get lost in spaced out show.
