I got a ticket for that show on Groupon, Coe. I will be leaving early in the Crue set unless they play Live Wire and Looks That Kill right away

GG Allin Thicke:

Nice!
Avatar 12:37pm

Yes Coe, go but leave early. I think MC've been playing the same set for the last 17 years.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38pm
coe:

I'm pretty ignorant to CT's stuff outside of just general band knowledge. I had thought they were more of straight up HxCx band I'm a bit surprised.
  12:38pm
ScottC:

I thought the whole reason to listen to WFMU was to escape that "Cooler Than Thou" BS - I never paid much attention to Dio ( except when I used to print his t-shirts ) but the AC cover was interesting to hear and if it bugged me I would just Turn It Off-
Avatar 12:39pm
V Priceless:

can't go wrong with AC in any way, shape or form Coe - plus his band is kickin', and they always manage to pull out a deep cut here and there!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:42pm

I did see him on a couple of his last few tours. Was actually lucky enough to be right at stage for he Rob Zombie tour. I'm was also kind of interested to see Orianthi play. More so a venue snob thing then anything else as it will mean lawn seats and just don't know if I'm up to it. :)
Avatar 12:43pm
Cheri Pi:

they're very amicable.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:43pm
coe:

@GG this is supposed to be their last tour due to Mick's health. There was supposedly a legal document signed and everything saying that after this tour they can never tour as Motley Crue again.

The Brooklyn Kid:

Afternoon Diane:)
Ooo:) that's sounds good! Souls being tortured on the bowels of HELL
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45pm

Honestly I have nothing against MC as a whole as a band. I just have a really really really serious issue with Vince Neil as a person. I know that sounds strange but the man does truly make me physically ill.
Avatar 12:45pm

@ coe - Orianthi is smokin' on geetar...and not too shabby on the eyes either!

If William Burger is "the master of the macabre" than Diane is the "mistress of metal"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:50pm
coe:

@V Priceless I can by no means argue with you about your Orianthi statement on either point
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:50pm
Andrew Waterloo:

The only thing that bothered me about the Nigel cover was the vocal inflection around Nigel. It reeked of clever.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:51pm
Andrew Waterloo:

Where does that place the Professor?
Avatar 12:52pm

@ Brooklyn Kid...or The 'Purveyorstress' of Punk, depending on your perspective, and the extent to which you wanna destroy the English language.

Love the prog-iness of this Voivod track. Wouldn't have recognized it as Voivod. Really cool.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:57pm

I could be wrong but I think the document actually says they can not tour as Motley Crue unless it includes all 4 members.

This is more like it. Love Voivod!! Yeah!!
  12:59pm
The Brooklyn Kid:

How about "the sister of sadism"
  1:00pm

@coe - I doubt the contract explicitly states all the ways to spell the band name.

They could just go by Nikki Sixx, blondie, and big dick

we're a culture that has become used to masking the pain rather than curing the underlying cause. Western doctors in the pocket of 'Big Pharma' are as much to blame for this phenom as anyone, probably more so, IMO!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:35pm
Andrew Waterloo:

I think it's more the instant gratification thing. People don't want to be bothered with things they don't enjoy immediately. I think that' part of the reason so much is a just a rehash of something old.
Avatar 2:35pm
Cecile:

And people are also hesitant to confront drs when something isn't working. They gave me muscle relaxants when I had back trouble. They didn't help that much, but they were great with alcohol. I was on my way to developing a nice little cross dependency. Someone suggested physical therapy, and I asked to get off the muscle relaxants. They gave me Celebrex, which is ibuprofen on steroids. I learned ways to hold my back and exercises, and the Celebrex helped with the inflammation without knocking me out. I never looked back.
