Greetings, soul aficionados! I have a "name that tune" question you may be able to help me with. At 1:21 in the Blues Brothers' rendition of "Everybody Needs Somebody to Love," (www.youtube.com...) there are some distinctive descending and ascending horn riffs. I heard these exact phrases in a slower, sadder soul song from the late '50s or early '60s, but I can't remember which song it was. It's not Solomon Burke's original. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Great show as always, Mr. Fine Wine. I won the Numero Group Eccentric Soul CD back in March and I've been meaning to thank you ever since. Lot of great sounds on that disc!
