Familiar & forgotten gems from 50-plus years of music on the darker side, shoegaze, synthpop, goth, psychedelia, darkwave, with unapologetic detours into 70s pop. In a dark night of the soul, it's always 3 o'clock in the morning.

Chin up! @ DJ Julie
not this again, not now
...is anyone really suddenly surprised that evil happens?
All right, great choice of guest! Hey Julie and folks!
@ coalhard: They may make a bunch of bacon too, I dunno
Guten Abend! @ Matt von Schlitzfiend
@the Matt: back at ya.
And still trying to figure out hot to make a "Morse Code" theme work...
= good band name
@FVH: And thank God(s)/supernature/nature for beer! Another, please...
Nice "Lolita" poster at the station.

Behold the rain which descends from heaven upon our vineyards, there it enters the roots of the vines, to be changed into wine, a constant proof that God loves us, and loves to see us happy.
What I LOVE about this theme is that the dark, synth sound, the music is actually over 300 years old. Henry Purcell's "Music for the Funeral of Queen Mary" taken into the synthesized age.
For the record, Hearty White once played the original "analog" version by Purcell--it was much like Carlos' version, with brass instruments instead of Moog.
Though I guess *Alex* brought "Singing in the Rain" to the set ad libitum:)
@Sem: I like that too--nice of her to always comment words of parting before the hectic transition into Web-only land.
Have a great Thursday, everyone! :)
