Good morning Marty!

@P-90
The FUNGUS label actuall was the short lived US-branch of the German PILZ label (famous for several Krautrock-classics.
("Pilz" translates to "fungus")

Both were subsidaries of th BASF-label.
The label was active during the mid-70ies only.
It was an experiment of the BASK chemical concern to get into the music biz.
They distributed several smaller labels, like MPS, Pilz, Cornet.
Most of their output was Schlager.

Hiya, Marty and hello to the far-flung McSorley clan wherever you may call home.

Actually i own that Irma Thomas.
And i was pretty much puzzled to find BASF and Fungus trademarks.
Learned about those connections much later.
But that's why one keeps trivia in mind.

Those early 70ies rap-intros are genre of itself.
My faves are the Three Dregree's version of the Chantells' "Maybe" and Ike Hayes' intro to his version "Our Day Will Come".
