Three unstoppable hours of Dave playing face-melting hot rock jams, talking with extremely important guests, answering the telephone, and trying to figure out what all those knobs and buttons are for. A sincere effort to get the original members of Dokken back on speaking terms will also be made whenever possible.

This will be a tough show for a light-hearted call on my part. That's some heavy duty stuff. I can't say that I was well versed on the case before checking out your guest list on twitter today Dave. I don't really feel that well versed now.

@ALSO: Dave is like the first person ever to interview someone and admit that he HASN'T read their book from cover-to-cover.
Can you imagine Charlie Rose, or Oprah, saying straight-up "I haven't read it all yet, I just skipped around in it to get the gist"?

If Dave's show is not your taste, so be it. I will say this is the first guest on a topic of this sort of a gravity - it's a departure from what's come before.
If the guests were truly upset I'm sure they'd have no problem cutting things short and finding the way to the door.
This is not a show to replace Tom's show - in the sense of it being a "New Best Show" - that's an impossibility. This is it's own new show and will go in the way Dave and the audience takes it.
And what Cam said.

Kneaded the dough (I have the radio on in the other room so I haven't missed the interview) - now I'm waiting for the dough to rise.
I'll probably let it rise twice.

And then there's Dave Hill who is literally the most comfortable I have ever heard him in his time doing this show.
That's amazing stuff, Dave. Truly.

At coelacanth - that's not a shithead opinion at all - that is an astute judgment. And I'm sure it's close to the truth. And that is a skill.

One of my favorite parts was about how Damien walks compulsively and inexhaustibly around Manhattan. Hell, I was BORN here, never been locked up (for long), and I do that myself!
Danne D:
that cannot possibly be real.
Your calls are carried by the wind and end up wherever?!? That's silly even by Canadian standards.
