I once tried to burn earwax when I was a kid. I failed Why do they call it a wax? At least I did not try to shine a car with it. I heard the story behind Dizzy's trumpet is that early on, a trumpet of his got bent that way by accident, and he did not have time or money to get it straightened, so that became is trademark eve since. I don't play trumpet, but I have been told that most trumpet teachers say not to puff your cheeks when playing.

Talk about instrusive noise -- I was on one of our harbor islands recently when a local attorney's racing boat was zipping and RRROARING around. Its insane, ugly, remakably big-radius noise reached many miles of nearby coast, disturbing and afflicting who knows how many ears. Idjit dick machine, idjit dick owner. "Listen to me and my power. You will listen to ME!"

The last time I got antibiotics for my ears was in New York on September 10, 2001. I was supposed to come back in to have them checked the next day. Even if I could have made it in to the doctor, he wouldn't have been there. He was at a nearby hospital on call for the mad rush of injured. A few days later, when I did get in to see the doctor, he told me not one person was brought in to the emergency room.
