Every show starts with the ’70s! We’ll rediscover forgotten rockers, revisit unfairly maligned disco beats and replay power-pop favorites. Next: plenty of new releases, occasional live bands and more. Don’t let the nickname confuse you.

marmalade kitty, I'm assuming you meant "say it as it looks" in your first comment - so more like a rhyme with "get in," right?

@Holly 8(
@RR63 - pretty sure Cretin comes from the fact that the Cretans lost (see story of Minotaur)
marmalade kitty:
does the "google translate" english audio speech have an english or american accent in the states?

Take care and hang in there Holly! :)

...so hey i was just pointing out that there are always exceptions to the "rules" in english. (though,particularly in american english.)
. . . but here,the general rule is that when there's a double consonant after a vowel,the vowel is "short";when it's a single consonant,the vowel is "long".
...if we were having this conversation in a pub and said what i said i would've nudged you to let you know i'm just playing!

-marmalade kitty, wherever i checked via google pronounced it "cree-tin". The oxford dictionary was especially amusing! (creepy sounding!) ...'doesn't mean it's correct,historically. i know that!
