Smokey and Miho
Hear this show now:
Pop-up player!
A visit with Smokey Hormel (guitarist with Beck, Tom Waits and others) and
Miho Hatori (notably of the band Cibo Matto). Smokey and Miho revisit classic music from Brazil including the legendary Baden Powell / Vinicius De Moraes LP Os Afro Samba as well as developing their own material. Including a short live performance with Smokey, Miho, horn player John Birdsong and of course our illustrious engineer Chris Stubbs.
Smokey and Miho and their band Os Afro Sambas perform live at the Mercury Lounge in Manhattan on November
15 and at North Six in Brooklyn on
November 23, and they also have dates scheduled around the country.
